day 2142 – party in downtown

i was tired coming back from lengthy vacation and everything that happened at work. although i showed up fashionably late, it’s still important that i make an appearance at a birthday party. saw everyone from squirtle whom i haven’t seen for almost a month, had a drink and left charles bar extremely tired. i didn’t get home until 3am, i can’t imagine waking up for my appointment tomorrow morning

day 2079 – private gym

hitting up friend’s private gym just so i could get some quiet time away from people. it’s been a rather draining week at work when i got a few curve balls at the end of last week. i got all my renderings done one day before the deadline. the stress not only made me sleep deprived, but also caused extreme lows for my blood pressure and i almost fainted in the morning. still, i wanted to hit the gym and do my deadlifts and pullups. the weight felt super heavy, but at least i got it done

day 2074 – killarney class

my weekly saturday ritual is all about teaching at killarney and the new civil war season that just started up again. it was a crazy hectic shift. the first class of the term is always busier, but also had to worry about preparing students for the belt test while teaching with two fewer instructors. i enjoy teaching, for that reason, my work week doesn’t end on friday, and sometimes doesn’t even end on sunday. sometimes i could use a weekend off

day 2073 – pearl fever

i happily holding onto my bubble reward for the twenty back tucks i was challenged to do. the perfect reward to end a frustrating and stressful week that made me want to walk out. i didn’t have any appetite even though i was hungry. i’m glad i didn’t go straight home and instead hung out with my friends to wind up the friday night. this would be my first milk tea from the highly touted pearl fever and it didn’t disappoint. the thirty percent sweet was perfect and just how i like it even though my friend who bought it didn’t think so

day 2049 – containing

the weekend was nonexistent and it’s back to work for another week. i contemplated if i should go or skip flipping because my stomach wasn’t feeling good and was so tired from the weekend activities. i went in the end thinking i’ll take it as it comes. it wasn’t too bad since i got a chance to practice my cheat kicks and of course some random front tucks and back tucks

day 1808 Рmeeting onslaught 

closing off the work week with a meeting filled friday. the onslaught of meetings is just starting now that design tech is almost a department of its own. i now have to sit in all the sop meetings and pod meetings. ending the friday with some flipping and a sashimi dinner with mom. i landed several flips on blue with phantom spots; i guess that’s progress but kind of slower than i’d like. maybe i need to work harder and force myself to do more repetitions each time

day 1626 – barbie’s birthday¬†


the true meaning of reflecting ceiling plan is an artistic photo. all of us sitting down at the family table celebrating another birthday. we had a long dinner with lots of xiao long bao followed by a mango mousse cake. the day had a startling start but actually turned out pretty well despite an overwhelming amount of work accumulating on my plate. being friday, it was time for me to live a little and lift a little. the stress of the work week was negated with some olympic lifts. though i’m noticeably rusty, i’m working diligently trying to clean up my olympic lifts. going about my business with my olympic lifts and happy that my hand is showing some resiliency even with usage
