day 2319 – woojin workshop

my killarney kids had a private session taught by woojin and his teammates. he went through a bunch of drills for basic kicks. it was a good to get an idea how koreans train their basics and a good indication of why their basics are so good. my kids could also benefit with more of this training if they want to improve in high performance. honestly i get anxiety because i really wish i could start practicing my spinning kicks again, but i also get anxiety because i’m not sure if my ankle will be ready for all that

day 1949 – squirtle bonder

img_20200130_2040466965436311959463333.jpgwe as a team randomly decided to take a ceramic workshop as part of our mid season bonder. most of the people made squirtle cups in some sort of mug form. i had other ideas of a squirtle cup and wanted one in the shape of a stanley cup. i spent so much time moulding and didn’t get a chance to add any paint to it. it was so much fun getting our hands dirty and talking smack at each other. we will have to wait until the baking is complete to compare the turnout and see who has bragging rights

day 1883 – terrarium building

monthly culture event got the office together doing terrarium building workshop. the strategy going into this was only to fill my fishbowl. in the end, i walked away with a plant, some moss, shells, sand and a mini cat inside a fishbowl. it turned out quite nice so worthy of keeping it at my workstation. it was a really fun and engaging activity despite its simplicity. i guess now the harder part is figuring out how to keep the plant alive not knowing if i need to water it and how often
