day 2533 – sip bowl

after chiropractor adjustments on my knee and shoulder, i met up with a friend for lunch in kerrisdale. not a lot of restaurants are offering dine in, and even then, tables are very sparse. sip bowl’s menu doesn’t offer many choice, but they’re known for their house noodles. the signature beef noodle i ordered was pretty good, but i think i would enjoy my friends cold noodle a little bit more. i really like their solid plank tables with their logo engraved

day 2485 – rogue sponsored

one of my quarantine project was to build a squat rack that stands out from the rest of the diy’s. though it’s only about ninety percent complete, i’m really happy with how it’s turning out. it looks sick and everything i had imagined in my head. the only downfall of the rack is certain parts of the wood can chip easily simply because it’s exposed to heavy contact. it’s been a fun experience full of learning, from design to modeling to woodworking to constructing to spray painting. along the topic of fitness, i made a decision to start my bubble tea ban today because i’m starting a sixty day cut. during this time i’ll eat clean and be disciplined with my intake

day 2474 – diy squat rack

did the runs but skipped the lifting portion and made it a squat rack building day. the whole process was smooth sailing and we only had two minor hiccups. both sides of the vertical posts turned out perfectly leveled and almost identical so it should be very fun here on. the whole construction took less than two hours, but we stuck around to monitor the water level in the drying concrete

day 2194 – hard surface unlocked

i’m very proud of this because i just did my first back tuck on hard surface and i went for it without the spot that was offered. i’ve overcome a lot; from fearing to do it myself to now finally taking it to hard ground. i’m sure my coaches are also proud of this, one wasn’t present but he who has been pushing me to get my back tuck variations. i’m gunning for the x-out and more variations after that. the bonus of being able to do flips in different environment is catching the sunset in the background

cut some lumber with my dad to get ready for my next do it yourself project. my dad has the basic tools but not a woodworking workshop at home. it made cutting wood slightly more tedious and difficult, but still got the job done nonetheless. i still need to gather more material and go through this same process again. i’m hope this will all turn out as well as i drew it up on sketchup and cad
