day 1772 – six innings

fielded only six innings against wombats before time cap because we struggled to get outs. it was a little windy and fielding more than not didn’t allow me to stay warm and into the game. even at the plate, i didn’t have a good swinging night with two walks and two infield outs. if i recall correctly, wombats are in tier c. we’re still sitting at two wins thus far but we still had fun like we always do. encouraging signs that everyone is still learning and improving as each game goes by

day 1744 – espr dub

first regular game of the season for espr and we got our first win. the team put together a great six strong innings and already tied last year in the win column. i played an all around game with defensive plays at first base and getting base hits with solid hits. i did, however, make an early season error that i’m not very happy about. i was totally robbed of a base hit on what i thought was the hardest i’ve ever struck a softball, but the left fielder dove for it. everyone stayed after the game and put some work into fielding 

day 969 – western brunch

sleeping in and enjoying a western brunch sounds like a good way to spend my easter saturday. homecooking is harder than it looks, as seen with the failed sunny side ups. it’s not my typical morning food for it’s oilyness, but there’s always some exceptions and portion control is the key. i can’t recall when i last had a day to relax and be outside filling myself with some fresh air. this is just the way i envision spending my rare saturday off, and definitely something i look forward to getting more of
