day 2195 – walk in clinic

as much as i didn’t want to go back to work after a long weekend, i was less happy to be spending three and a half hours at a walk in clinic waiting for both the doctor and pharmacy. the mosquito bite flared up so bad overnight i didn’t get any sleep. i got up in the middle of the night to apply and reapply the hydrocortisone. when i woke up, my leg was so red and swelled up it no longer looked like a leg. the doctor prescribed the same antibiotics as last time. i guess that’s what i get for not finishing it last time

i went to a walk in clinic with one thing on my mind – to get doctor’s clearance to play dodgeball again. i needed this more than ever because i am not about to miss pinepaple playoffs. turns out just my luck that the clinic closes early on fridays. instead of getting my note, i went out to have a chocolate toast for afternoon tea which i would consider carb loading before race day

going in to see a medical doctor to satisfy my parents’ even though i knew it was going to be a total waste of time, and i couldn’t be more right. started off the week with a 39 high fever, dropped down a degree or two, but suddenly shot back up to 39 and now i even have cold-like symptoms. the doctor told me i don’t have strep throat, something i could have concluded myself. if i wasn’t semi dying, i wouldn’t even think twice about going in at all. what a way to spend my special one monther

when i walked in, and all i see is one counter, a red wall and a grey wall and only realized there were doors when a doctor came out of nowhere. this has got to be the most peculiar looking walk in clinic ever but the doctor was awesome because i got the referrals i needed.┬áif only my family doctor was like this then i wouldn’t avoid seeing her unless i was in dire need
