day 2018 – lunar lunch

organized a late lunar new year lunch for the asians in the office. what was suppose to be a foursome expanded to a group of eleven. the three of us girls shared a salad, sashimi and two rolls. it’s good to have variety otherwise i’d only be limited to eating sashimi and a roll. didn’t feel like going back to work after eating. it. i hope the snow doesn’t stick so i can drive to delta for my game later in the evening

day 1929 – bugis market

first full day in singapore and we were greeted by a thunderstorm on our way to the hotel. so far, we’ve seen a variety of weather from thunderstorms, pouring rain, and scorching heat. we touched down on bugis market on our first night, a district famous for its street foods and street vendors. we walked through the crowded blocks where things were decently priced. i went home having bought a few pieces of clothing for work

day 1694 – chashu ramen

mom’s yummy ramen for early dinner before playing volleyball. my life revolved around a lot of sports, but volleyball was never a focus sport for me. i last played it back in highschool and i don’t think my skills have declined since then. there’s no subbing out for us girls; so after an hour and a half of bump-set-spikes, my forearm was moderately discoloured. this will be a weekly activity playing in a league that rotates between multiple sports. i look forward to the variety of sports as well of the variety of people i come across

day 1671 – dimsuming

i don’t recall the last time i ate dimsum, but it’s  safe to say i can now eat them guilt free. my love for malaysian cake, ha gao and rice rolls never changed. switching up the diet has its perks for reasons i can enjoy food with variety. since the switch, my appetite has improved significantly, or maybe it’s just a result of improvement in my overall state of mind. either way, the trend is heading in the right place in multiple aspects of my life
