day 2034 – delta floor

i shouldn’t be here but i am. joing the flightclub crew for an open gym session at delta gymnastic facilities. it doesn’t seem like too much has changed to the gym since i was last here years ago. i really shouldn’t be doing anything on my feet the day after jamming my ankle attempting roundhouse back tucks on the floor. the purpose of this session is defeated because of that, but i showed up as promised. the falls i had sure dampened the mood, but doesn’t change the fact that the move i’ve been urning for is within reach. i will have to heal up and go hard at it again

day 1120 – try, try, try again

snatching is one of the harder lifts i have come across, but that makes me want to get it that much more. practicing them can be frustrating at times because i give up too easily and fail to lock out. i wasn’t satisfied with the many failed attempts and low success rate so i was determined to keep going until i finally got it. by the end of it, i must have made at least thirty attempts. my back took a hard hit from the barbell, but rewatching my videos motivate me. there’s no better feeling than not giving up to succeed in something i wanted

day 935 – start again

my elbow is still up to no good and my thumb is also banged up. setbacks are bound to occur every now and then so i decided not to hang my head and start again today. sometimes things happen for a reason and through all that i will persevere and come out stronger each time. despite much of the day spent at taekwondo, gym is gym and that never stops no matter what condition my body is in

day 592 – fooling around

fooling around and going out of my way to try new things. feeling like a brave soul and took a heap at attempting some stunts. there’s no surprise i started off with a face plant. i am certain i have bruised and busted my knee from the hard landings, so hopefully i am not hobbling too much when i wake up tomorrow. good thing i have scheduled my appointments strategically so i feel more secured when i try dangerous things like such

day 503 – side bets

a side bet lost for my team’s head to head matchup this week which will cause me a few punches. my team was doing well and in the lead mid week before my players went into mad slumps and started getting injured.  in the end i only lost by one, but sadly there’s no way get to out of this. i guess the result could have been worse but now i have to “man up” to the bet, whatever that means

day 398 – tonight’s dinner

spinach garden salad with sundried tomato salad dressing, garlic alaskan salmon on french bread and boiled perogies for dinner. i am open to trying new dinner ideas, for once changing up and staying away from the typical chinese dinner of rice and chopsticks. the idea of organic vegetable had me thinking it’s a healthy kind of meal. i am a picky eater, there’s a lot of greens i do not eat but i can settle with lettuce romaine
