last day of work for the year. it was a slow morning and time was going by even slower after lunch. everyone in the office are mulling around, waiting for an authoritative one to make announce dismissal. the whole department had a nice year end lunch out at brown’s social house. all i want to do is get off so i can go to the gym and then see my hamberites

day 654 – kinesiologist revisit

imagemorning physio and revisiting one of the kinesiologist i have seen years ago but haven’t seen at the clinic in ages cause it’s been a long time since i last had a saturday appointment. but nothing really changes since both my kins are alike in some sense, except one challenges me more and the other makes fun of me more. the same routine applies: he gives me an exercise and i will complain momentarily, he doesn’t budge then i go off and do it. it was an easy day comparative to other visits, but muscle stim is never easy. got my back beaten up because it is so tight from all that throwing and lifting

day 615 – physio visit

imagelooking out the window while resting between exercises and waiting for physio to hook me up with muscle stim. did not expect he would cranked it up an extra ten counts but here i am going strong at sixty. it was so painful but no words came out of me, all i could do was stare back at him and think to myself no pain no gain. no doubt he has succeeded in building up my pain tolerance over the years. the intensity of the shock was so high it left two big circular burnt marks on my leg

day 566 – physio at his best

image

physio had his radar on me the entire morning and went crazy today pushing me hard and maxing out my leg. said he was on a mission to push my left leg to match the other because he’s simply not satisfied that i am settling. upon hearing that, my kinesiologist was on my back because physio faulted him for not working me hard enough. physio also discussed my mri report to confirm results came back negative. the good news is nothing broken and nothing torn, the not so good news is he has the green light to hurt me in any possible way to fix whatever is wrong with me

day 552 – vmo

image

no secret what is the underlying issue that i try to slip through under the radar all these years. i knew it was only a matter of time until muscle imbalance catches up to me. today, physio finally forced it upon me to work my vmo using the muscle stimulator and i am already not fond of that device. both kinesiologist and physio flat out said it’s a tortuous process where the machine would cause a lot of painful contractions but said that i am forced to do it for as long as it needs to catch up. its a brutal process, but it must be done because he’s not going to let me off the hook anymore

day 517 – chilli day

image

putting in the work as part of my kinesiologist’s version of his new year’s gift to me before my physio crucified my knee. i do appreciate all the push i have gotten this year to strengthen my weaknesses and i will continue to improve and work even harder next year. on my way out of physio to see this gorgeous view of downtown with white mountains in the background. not a good day to be under dressed when the weather is minus four degrees

day 502 – sweats

image

couldn’t wait any longer to wear my new vdl sweats out, first off, to physio because its comfy and warm. pleasant surprise to hear that both my knees are fine and progressively getting stronger, meaning my hard work is paying off. before i feel too good, he completely crushed my shin into bits and hurt me like there’s no tomrorow. still have to worry about my wrist moving onto further scans and tests to see what’s the underlying problem
