day 813 – ligament troubles

image

physio appointment can’t get any earlier than this. having a 7am appointment basically meant that i was still half asleep and struggling to be coherent which made it almost impossible for me to clearly explain to my physio what had happened at the time of injury. i mustered the most vague explanation, physio was better off finding the answers and figuring out the severity of the injury himself, and he did. he went through a series of tests to check for ligament tears and thankfully reported negative, but a ligament sprain isn’t something to be taken lightly by all means. today’s appointment had me on both ice and then electro, and that usually signals a prescribed rehab process is on its way. so that means no sports or physical activities until he says otherwise

day 620 – cardio mode

after having early morning saturday, my mind and body wasn’t up for more 8am exercise on sunday. somehow i still found a way to get my sorry butt on the treadmill this evening. the vancouver sunrun is exactly a week away, so if not now, then when?? i guess after tonights run, it’s time to taper off and rest up by so i don’t over exert myself before the actual run

day 570 – gambling in bed

saturday mornings are hard to come by but first time i decide to go to bed early and i wake up far too early. sleeping has been overrated now that my body has accepted i will not give it more than 6 hours. i was woken up at 6:30am so laid in bed and played an hour of myvegas before falling back asleep. i haven’t played much for last little while and needed something to kill time

day 478 – dawn darkness

waking up at 6am in this season is depressing, only see the darkest skies and nothing else. it’s november and can’t help but wonder when the sunny days will come back to us. the whole city looks different at this hour, deserted and lifeless. this is way too early for me to be awake let alone be ready to get out of my house, it will be a long day ahead. but i am just glad it is finally friday
