day 1991 – killarney rings

another term of killarney started today. like any start of a new term, the first day is always busy tending to new students and registrations. i sit in the empty dojo after everyone filed out and reflected on the day. i’m happy that the enrolment has grown this term; the number of registrants across saturday class is more than any previous terms since my instructor days began. i’m very happy that my taekwondo class has reached more people than ever before and looking to continue growing this sport and business as a whole

day 1256 – new term

not having put on a taekwondo uniform for several weeks is eerily long but the fact that it didn’t bother me which might not be a good sign. hopefully it’s just the long break and not lost passion for taekwondo or competition itself. i am back on the mat and had a decent first day of killarney winter term. bringing in another new instructor will put more load on me, but at least i’ve finally let go of sunday because working seven days a week is brutal

day 1140 – school term

here we go again. it’s back to school to start another term because there’s always more to learn. made sure i didn’t eat before this long class so i stay attentive. moving up and taking the plunge and learning all about bim programs. it’ll get busy once we get into the thick of things and run in full force. here, i hope to continue to unlearn the act of procrastination. let’s hope i get better at it

day 61 – jokes

received this in the mail. as if my tuition, services, other fees and extremely overpriced textbooks and materials wasn’t a large enough donation for you!! taking twenty credits with overloaded six courses a term, working part time and earning just enough for daily expenses while trying to maintain a respectable gpa is not easy at all. students are always poorest. ubc amazes me in many different ways
