day 2125 – wimbledon tour

i’m ecstatic to have the chance to tour and walk on the same grounds as many of the tennis greats. i get to be in the centre court, practice courts, broadcasting station and press conference rooms where i can freely take photos. it’s definitely one of the top priorities on this trip and will likely be a top highlight when it’s all said and done. i wish i could take my parents to see this lawn tennis centre. the least i could do was take back a souvenir for both. also wished i could spend more time here, but other sightseeing duties call. hope one day i can afford to be a ticket holder of this grand slam

day 2040 – federer record

gladly waking up early for another one of federer’s finals. this one is extra special as he’s going for his one hundredth atp title. i’m so happy to witness federer making another history breaking record and reaching the century club. it’s such a treat watching him on the court; he’s one of those players that explemifies finesse to perfection. watching him really makes me itch for some tennis. i hope he continues to play a few more years and chip away at more records. i only wish one day i can watch him play live and meet him in person

day 1763 – strung racket

got my steam racket restrung, finally, and ready to hit some tennis balls. crazy that over the course of the idleness, it has lost twelve pounds of tension. i’m really looking forward to the prime time on the court now that the weather is getting really good. i forgot how much i love playing and watching this sport, and how it will always be one of my favourite childhood sports growing up. also looking forward to catching some local tournaments whenever possible

day 1692 – indian wells

the amount of output yesterday got me and my body good so i decided it was a sunday worth letting my body recover a little. so many body parts are currently quite shattered so taking time off for one or maybe two days isn’t too much to ask for. even if i forced it, i would only be half assing my designated heavy leg day. instead, i spent like how most people treat sundays, relaxing and watching indian wells finals. i’m very disappointed federer lost the match, but he just wasn’t on his game from the beginning

day 1551 – atp baselĀ

in the wake of a heart breaking day that made me think the unsaid disappointment was the final deal breaker i’d allow for. i should really be getting more sleep during my recovery period, but waking up early for tennis is well worth it when it’s a federer match. he’s truly amazing to watch as he pulled through for an impressive eighth title at basel. i am also hoping to save up enough money soon enough to watch him play in person one day. i already missed out the opportunity to watch andy roddick live, i really don’t want to miss a second chance

day 1460 – hot tennis

my daily dosage of sports doesn’t stop even when tired. playing some rusty tennis in mid day heat probably isn’t the smartest choice, but it was spontaneous alternative to a bailed hike. two plus hours out in the heat hitting balls got me pretty dark. i can’t imagine a couple more times and i’ll have enough vitamin d to have some crazy tan lines. got some quiet time in the middle of the day and quality time at night because it just isn’t a sunday without having seen

day 1136 – tennis semis

watching the double header for men’s semifinal took my mind off a lot of unnecessary things. i was rooting for my current favourite player on tour, nishikori. he won the first set but came up short against wawrinka. despite today’s loss, nishikori still had a great run at us open to add to his bronze from rio. i guess i won’t be too sad about missing sunday’s final
