2045 – work deadline

kits collection rendering are due tomorrow – all schemes, streamlines, formulas, and flat lays. it’s been stressful the past weeks leading up to the deadline and especially stressful the last couple days. i’ve been modeling and doing test renders like crazy on three monitors and three computers but at times that didn’t even seem enough. even though i’ve been working so hard on this, there’s still people that will try to prove their noble self by pushing you down and those that completely undervalue what you just did

day 1965 – star performer

i must say getting a star performer plaque for the year was the pleasant surprise. it has been a crazy stressful year. many days i just go about my business and work my butt to make all the deadlines. it’s good to know that the hardwork and dedication to hold this fort down didn’t go unnoticed. and this year i showed up to harrison to represent the design tech team

day 1902 – cabinet vision

day one of a three day training on cabinet. vision. the expectation was to have a full day going through dry material while being trapped in a windowless room for eight hours. that wasn’t the case and it turned out way more interesting than expected. i was originally suppose to travel to ontario for this training, but instead, manager and coo was in support and brought in a presenter. company paid training and catered lunch from chopped leaf doesn’t sound too shabby

day 1868 – vignette casegoods

checking out the crops of all the hardwork my team and i put into the best western vignette. very pleased with how everything turned out; a big sigh of relief not only because it’s completed, but completed correctly as i shoulder most of the responsibility. a little side tantrum i must release. sometimes when things turn out well, there’s no credit given. sometimes when things turn out well, there’s still complaints coming out of people

day 1840 – delayed remuneration

consider this a much delayed amendment after i started assuming a different title to stick handle for the tech team. for the better part of the past year, i’ve run the team known as tech-no-logic. i can’t believe this took so much grief to obtain on paper. it was just unfortunate a few people had to get in the way of this process. even though everything is made official and signed in black and white, it doesn’t mean much if the process doesn’t change like how it was promised

day 1820 – hard questions

once in a while some questions come up i either don’t know how to answer, shouldn’t answer or don’t want to answer. noticeable that i’ve pulled myself out of involvements in the world of taekwondo. i no longer teach or attend poomsae trainings, took break from competitions, skip demos, and avoided going to main school. all i do is run my branch school and keep making improvements. now when asked if i’ll resume my commitments and return to the competition floor, it’s really hard to say if i still have it in me and i have the heart to make a comeback

day 1700 – gr8 companies

walking from one gr8 company to another under the spitting rain. another case where i’ve taken the reins to manage more rendering requests and act as the direct contact to outsource renderer. slowly but surely taken more and more off my manager’s plate and onto my plate. the start of the year has been good to me, allowing me to manage my own team and managers developing me as part of the emerging leader trainings. being identified as one of the five emerging leaders is flattering. i think i’ve proven to many that i can handle many tasks under pressure and still maintain professionalism
