day 2200 – morning nash

probably shouldn’t be working out doing the things i did, but i’m stubborn about it and it was worth trying. i took it down a notch for the cleans but even then it was giving my back problems. at that point, i was content with meeting the same squat weight as last week. this will be a weird week because my olympic lifting is temporarily switched thursday to give my back extra two days. was also suppose to have softball practice in the afternoon but got rained out. instead, i joined my family for dimsum, something my stomach is not too crazy about

day 2191 – free friday

the day after making personal records deserves a bit of a rest. i still went to flightclub because i wanted to flip, but taking it easy on the training as my body works to recover. i let my body decide what it can do and didn’t push to do too much on the floor. i still did some x-out practice and ninja landing onto the blue mat. the rest of the evening was a chill one. even though i don’t have much planned, i was just glad to get the bc day long weekend started

day 2049 – containing

the weekend was nonexistent and it’s back to work for another week. i contemplated if i should go or skip flipping because my stomach wasn’t feeling good and was so tired from the weekend activities. i went in the end thinking i’ll take it as it comes. it wasn’t too bad since i got a chance to practice my cheat kicks and of course some random front tucks and back tucks

day 2034 – delta floor

i shouldn’t be here but i am. joing the flightclub crew for an open gym session at delta gymnastic facilities. it doesn’t seem like too much has changed to the gym since i was last here years ago. i really shouldn’t be doing anything on my feet the day after jamming my ankle attempting roundhouse back tucks on the floor. the purpose of this session is defeated because of that, but i showed up as promised. the falls i had sure dampened the mood, but doesn’t change the fact that the move i’ve been urning for is within reach. i will have to heal up and go hard at it again

day 2012 – flightclub anniversary

even though i couldn’t really do much having banged up both my left and right legs, i still attended the anniversary open gym. i wanted to at least chill with the rest of the flightclub family and be there for their important celebration. i like that this is a place where i’ve met some new friends and learned some new flips and tricks. hoping i’ll hit a few more tricks in their second year

day 1303 – gstringĀ 

just as we expected, we were bumped up to tier 2 after the retier. we’ll most likely stick in this tier for the remainder of the season so these are good matchups come playoffs. i was suppose to ease up for my legs’ sake but somehow ended up falling over a bench mid game. photoweek got more interesting when gstrings showed up with our lingerie. i was really bothered by some issues were brought to my attention at the end of the day and that kept my up at night 

day 996 – supersets

friday night spent in my sanctuary lifting and dropping some iron. feels great to be back in the gym regularly after a long layoff from all the recent illnesses and misfortunes. taking it easy this week as i’m told, and only doing things that won’t cause too much discomfort. it’s definitely frustrating having lost so much gains i’ve worked hard at, but doesn’t deter me from working back to my top form. no question i am still feeling the effects but i am also feeling slightly better with each passing day. it makes me a little more grateful that i can do what i do, and i can do what i love
