day 2127 – afternoon tea

this would be my very first afternoon tea of my life and i must say it’s one expensive meal. i enjoyed the food, but it was a lot of pastry and sweets to take in for one sitting and i left feeling unusually bloated. the delicacy is way too much for my stomach and wallet to enjoy. the calories intake is defiitely something i can’t afford anymore often than once a year. i don’t know what constitutes a good afternoon tea, but i’m not one to look too deeply into it. starting to have traces of missing home

day 1959 – swiss roll

it’s a bad idea when you hang out with food friends and all they want is try new dessert places. they also want to split the foods with you and inadvertently split the calories that comes with. this is a piece of the oolong tea swiss roll with a load of ganache in the centre. it was very tasty as expected. i wonder how my mildly lactose body will respond after devouring that

day 1910 – crepe cake

girls night out at the gym before crashing a home for movie. we caught up a little while watching deadpool 2. we filled ourselves with homemade poke bowl ingredients before the main event which is all about the dessert delicacies. the earl grey and matcha flavoured crepe cakes plus coloured pearl bubble tea. it was good, but i would have to keep these decadence to a minimal for the meantime. it’s also quite a pricey enjoyment

day 1895 – tiramisu mousse

the guilt of eating the mom’s tiramisu birthday cake is strong, but what’s in my stomach is already inside and can’t be changed. this cake eating was necessary to celebrate the most important woman in my world. the cake was so delicious i even had an extra half a slice. i’ll make this an exception and stay clean for the next stretch. just have to work harder to burn it all off

day 1849 – la foret

marcom meeting at la foret to plan out the upcoming dodgeball season. it’s good to get together once in a while to make sure everything is clear and understand what’s expected of each person. i’m not big on cakes and pastries most of the time but i took home a raspberry mousse cake because i’m under the impression that the cakes and pastries here are very well known. i shared the piece with my parents and they both loved it. i guess delicacy like this is okay once in a while

day 1703 – cafe savoureux

dessert hopping stop number three to start the long weekend. we ordered different drinks and shared the fancy cakes. we like to get together for an afternoon tea with drinks and sweets. sitting together at the table talking out the stresses of work and relieving our minds before a three day weekend. for the first time in three months, it’s one weekend i do not have to work. though i don’t have to go into work, i still have to make time to work at my own time. it’s month end so there’s extra work to do to wrap up the march and prepare for april

day 1672 – ferrerosĀ 

working my way through my work while working my way through the boxes of ferrero rochers. it doesn’t help my case when a client drops four dozens on kitchen counter. can’t resist the ferreros; they are one of my lifetime favourite chocolate and it would be morally wrong to just let it sit and not be eaten. i’ll just have to so a better job in other areas to make up for the lack of discipline here
