day 1703 – cafe savoureux

dessert hopping stop number three to start the long weekend. we ordered different drinks and shared the fancy cakes. we like to get together for an afternoon tea with drinks and sweets. sitting together at the table talking out the stresses of work and relieving our minds before a three day weekend. for the first time in three months, it’s one weekend i do not have to work. though i don’t have to go into work, i still have to make time to work at my own time. it’s month end so there’s extra work to do to wrap up the march and prepare for april

day 1660 – vday gift

img_20200130_2327314054315174066789205.jpgsitting beside my monitor this morning is a valentines beanie from my big boss. turned around and saw two beanies sitting side by side with a cupcake. i’ve developed a good circle that taught me much about importance of self care. thus i’m continuing to keep up with my eating habits and my mindset open. many things working in my favour; though i’ve been really swamped, work has treated me pretty well lately. one thing that always lags behind is my ability to rest

day 1307 – showroom

img_20200204_1758415968982951709021436.jpgback in the office after a non existent weekend where i spent majority of it working and coaching. weekly monday office meetings always has piles of sweets on sweets. this is the time when i am notorious for getting my daily dose of banana. showtimes are not optional no matter how busy, but it’s always entertaining. the pace and the workload has picked up significantly since the start of this month and that is a good sign

day 1288 – cake pop

img_20200204_1657245160564831786613191.jpgi’ve never even heard of cake pop, but i learned it’s starbucks’ version of timbit on a stick. i was contemplating so hard before i took a bite. it was too sweet and not worth the diabetes. the expected snowstorm caused my campus to close and my class to be cancelled tonight. getting home before 8pm was a welcomed sight because i really needed the time to catch up on many of my to do list items and also wind down for the night

day 894 – munching at gym

surely munching away on a chocolate chip cupcake is totally normal at the gym. it wasn’t the typical kind of cupcake off the shelf but a delicious yet nutritious version made with veggies that was devoured in a heartbeat. i am so glad there weren’t seconds available or that might cause some trouble. i’ll just convince myself maybe i worked hard enough and exerted much energy during the workout, and if not, there’s always dodgeball that follows

day 852 – student appreciation

students showing me some love bringing me an early christmas gift. these are constant reminders of why i continue to teach and coach even when i am outright exhausted. seeing my students work hard, improve and achieve is the greatest reward an instructor can have. i do take pride in seeing all that happen before my eyes. there will be times when i will rant about teaching, but sometimes i feel like i am too attached to let go of it

day 770 – summer wrap up

this was actually from yesterday night, marking the end summer vacation with the sweetness of shaved ice. icepik was jam packed tonight i guess many people had the same idea for closing out a good summer. the weather was cold, but my stomach is feeling happy after some heart warming pho and frozen dessert. i haven’t eaten so much in such a long time, unfortunately i don’t think my body thinks that’s a good thing
