day 758 – physio checkup

having my regular morning physio check up and it was a positive one, held up nicely since last visit and that’s huge for me. it’s a sign of progress and a big step in the right direction considering i have been doing a fair amount of my activities during this time span. my reward for having such positive feedback is some trolling courtesy of my physio and kinesiologist who demanded some unexpected numbers and then threw a curveball at me. i had a lot of hesitation but they gave me the sense there was no way out of it knowing i must do it or i am not going home

day 756 – beat the rough

late night gym time all to myself to digress because it has been a rough day. just needed some time alone to let me mind rest and let it all out and couldn’t think of a better place than this. i figured this is a better way of putting my excess and bottled up energy to use because earlier today i came ever so close to kicking someone in the face and had to use every possible reason to restrain myself from letting my limbs loose. if it did, she wouldn’t even know what hit her. i can’t believe how rude and irritating some people could be; she clearly crossed the line today and i take no exception

day 754 – conquered chief

posing at peak two cause i am asian. all hiked out and legs ready to give in after completing a tiring three peak hike that took just over five hours. it was endless climbing of a natural stair master of over two hundred flights of stairs but in the end the breathtaking view made it all worthwhile. second peak stood out for me because the obstacles and the awesome view really capped it off. it was like parkour, i always knew had a little spiderman in me

day 746 – morning session

good morning, waking up early for a morning session to start off my saturday right. morning gym seshs are tougher than the usual, clearly, i am not a morning gym person. doing everything i can possibly do, under my control, to steer the ship in the right direction. learning to stay patient and shoot for long term progress over short term goals. i know that i am taking tiny steps forward and making progress everyday, and only time will tell. i am trying my best, i will get there when i am meant to get there. in the meantime, i will continue to breathe and chug on

day 738 – get it done

forgoing taekwondo tonight because i have got lots of question marks surrounding my ankle status. however, i am feeling optimistic that i can go back to class next week and other activities likewise. in the meantime, grabbed my music, headphones, shoes and off i go do to what needs to be done. it’s looking awfully empty in the gym tonight maybe because it’s friday night and the sun’s out, but that works in my favour

day 731 – just gyming

heading to the gym crippled but leaving happy because my ankle exceeded all my expectations. some heavy taping on my ankle makes it that much more functional, i can fall asleep easy feeling like it accomplished something today. even though i know it needs rest in order to heal properly, i also had the urge to test it out to get a better idea of what it will allow me to do this weekend. i hate waiting and i cannot be patient with these things

day 706 – headphones in

headphones in, music on, i have arrived at a place where it’s time to grind. back at the gym in a long long time, at least a week prior to competition if i remember correctly. to my surprise, there’s a line of upgraded treadmills and lots of brand new equipments to toy with. i hate going in just before dinner time but had to squeeze it in. stepped down one notch from where i last left off, and sad to say it was still a struggle
