day 2007 – sunrise drive

crossing oak bridge on my morning drive to work with this beautiful back drop. never easy waking up early on a monday, especially when i didn’t have much of a weekend. i had a hard time this morning even after three snoozes. i was pretty brain dead at work but good thing i was doing sketchup things or else i would most definitely have fallen asleep

day 957 – training and training

a day of nonstop training is what monday is all about. as competition closes in, must work harder and kick into another gear until training becomes life. meanwhile, my routine gym and dodgeball never stops, totalling four hours of evening physical exertion. thought i would pass out immediately after all activities, but turns out i never slept. instead, i had some quality time that made staying up worthwhile. there’s always a first for everything and sometimes life throws curveballs when you least expect it, but it was a good ending to a crazy night; definitely the best pi day yet

day 484 – the trio

flashback to way back to the first time the three of us teamed up for nationals 2013, when we still had old school mats. those evil mats that sprained my knee the night before competition and i was competing in agony. we came together as a team in an unexpected way and i am glad we did. those were the good times and I miss the bonding, training and slacking that took place from sunrise to sunset. still waiting for the day we could compete as a team once again

day 467 – house party

glimpse of what i remember from last night before i lost all recollection of events that took place after. there was a large lineup of booze that had us gaming and drinking well into the morning and only passed out after the sun rose. it was a good night and good bonding time before we started losing ourselves. an epic night full of crazy things and lots of uncalled for events that we probably will never know about. waking up next day could hold many surprises, good and bad. haven’t drank so much in a night for quite a long time, i have not become an alcoholic. couldn’t have asked for a better time, taking advantage of the personal space and house all to myself while family is away

day 291- longest night on the road

leaving town and onto new york right after competition. tried to catch the full moon during our long ride to big apple. one of the most brutal drives ever driving nonstop overnight almost without any sleep and stoppages, talk about red eye drives. no place to stop even if we wanted to because all hotels were filled due to numerous flight cancellations at new jersey airport
