day 1703 – cafe savoureux

dessert hopping stop number three to start the long weekend. we ordered different drinks and shared the fancy cakes. we like to get together for an afternoon tea with drinks and sweets. sitting together at the table talking out the stresses of work and relieving our minds before a three day weekend. for the first time in three months, it’s one weekend i do not have to work. though i don’t have to go into work, i still have to make time to work at my own time. it’s month end so there’s extra work to do to wrap up the march and prepare for april

day 1080 – antidote

image

yesterday was a forgettable day, but today is a new day and i can’t stay down for long. the unwanted things that went through my head was erased by a much needed workout. going all in and straight for all the heavy lifts today; exhausting my body is my most effective stress reliever. this has really become a therapeutic activity for me because my mind wanders less when i am physically engaged. all i want to focus on correcting what’s wrong and strive to be better

day 1043 – playground

image

no better way to relieve myself of stress than to go back to my playground where the big kids play. this is the place i could hangout at no matter where life is at and a good place to be when i need to pick myself back up. people will make difference choices in life; this is mine. i had myself a good hump day workout, focusing on what i need to get done, like how it should be. winding down the night with a rare pig out late night dinner with mo

day 783 – rdl debut

image

dodgeball season is officially in as tonight marks my rdl debut both as a player and an exec. playing on a new team with a new organization in a new gym location, but not all that new because it’s the same old game of dodgeball which i have been so accustomed to. no these are not dodgeballs, they are mini dodgeballs also known as stressballs. although there’s no difference between it because i throw balls at people to relieve my stress anyways

resolution series: [twentyseven] tour

those of the previous generations often say¬†travel when you are young because you have the freedom of time and the luxury of energy to do so. but incoveniently, it is also the time when you haven’t got your money issues all figured out so every penny counts. but once u get past the livelihood stage, it’s time to settle down and form a family. the increased responsibilities will in turn make you feel tied down, not to mention increased expenses of all your dependents. and then when you wait another two decades to establish yourself in the work force, you haven’t got the energy to do the traveling you have always imagined. my conclusion is there’s no best time to travel because there’s give and takes at every stage in life, all you can is follow your gut feeling and travel when your heart desires. can’t say i have been to many places, but can’t say that i haven’t been to many places either. i have definitely been well travelled within north america, but have not set foot in europe or south america. there is so many fascinating cities waiting for me, i have to go out there and see the world for myself. i could definitely use some time off now because i am currently physically, mentally and psychologically drained and stressed out in every dimension

day 522 – stress therapy

image

too stressed out lately with all that school work, applications and deadlines coming up in a hurry. getting my stress therapy so i can regroup before i snap and lose my mind. i have come to realize this is one of my happy place where i can be alone in my own little world. so glad i have an outlet because i know this place is where i can get away from the busyness of my hectic life

twenties series: [one] travel

the world is very big with many fascinating places full of opportunities to explore and see the big picture so to speak. traveling will not only broaden our horizon but also increase our knowledge on what is out there beyond our naked eye. these adventures allow us to distant ourselves from our regular everyday life and infinite stress at hand. traveling also creates meaningful and lifelong memories that no one else can strip us of. the time away from all the norm is a test and a telling story of what you have taken granted for all along; afterall, there is no place like home. traveling is not by all means easy on the bank account as it is a big commitment that requires plenty of planning but there is no reward without hard work. i for one haven’t gotten the opportunity to make the most out of my travels. there’s a whole list of cities and places i would love to visit and i will be making a conscious effort to traveling to wherever my heart desires. regardless of small trips, big trips and road trips ranging from europe, asia or even a simple drive to seattle, its an investment i want to make. remember life stops at nothing so travel while you can, go out and see the world
