shaping 2018

2017 was challenging that staggered between many emotions, some happy, some successful, some difficult, some burdensome and some heartbreaking moments. i was struck by my most depressing moments that resulted in bottling up emotions where self destruction happened. underneath the outer shell, was three hundred and sixty five days of constant battle that left many unseen scars. after this three hundred sixty five day battle, i came to realize i had ample growth: grew stronger, became braver, gained experience and expanded my knowledge. the struggles gave me a different perspective in life, the achievements gave me hope to to continue to climb. life is a journey defined by how well one copes after being knocked down. looking forward into the next twelve months, i’ll regroup and pull myself together to find my strong. i’m a fighter and won’t stop short of reaching my goal. as long as i stay strong, keep grinding and never settle for less than my full potential. life is about betterment and i’m committed to being the strongest version of myself

the latter part of 2017 wasn’t the best of days and was a true test of patience. the long drought, the fluctuating health, the seesawing emotions were all big obstacles, but i made sure all loose ends were closed. waving 2017 goodbye knowing 2018 has much more for me in store

  • get back healthy and stay as injury-free as possible
  • consistent training and eating with proper sleep
  • step up my game and take it to the next level
  • setting my priorities and boundaries
  • love myself for who i am, love my family, love my friends
  • stay focused towards advancement
  • attain more designations
  • save up for the numbers game
  • explore and travel the world
  • devote more time on what sets my heart on fire
  • step out of my comfort zone and expand my horizon
  • acknowledge being a workaholic but appreciate the little things

i’m ready to start 2018 off strong and be the stubborn goal digger that i am. just remember the best has yet to come

day 1478 – buckle down

it’s inexcusable that so many times i lose my self discipline and stray off from what i need to be doing. there’s been a lot of pressure from different sources of life and i’m struggling trying to stand my ground. i didn’t sign up for this, maybe i was meant to be alone in the dark, forever. i’m so stressed out; it’s been disappointing the stress has so much impact on my willpower and the lack of it. there is no excuse to not have a better habit and stick with what i want

building 2017

2016 was one heck of a crazy roller coaster ride. the past twelve months gave me ample opportunities to experience more of what life is about. i found myself in the darkest moments where i shut myself off from the world, fluctations and eating problems ensued. i managed to dig deep with the support of my close ones, and got myself back together. nothing came easy as nothing worth achieving ever comes easy. behind closed doors, i fought many battles that no one knew about, but the most important thing is i never gave up on myself. i came to realization that i don’t want to remain stagnant and don’t want to remain the same so i took on some challenges. i defined what my goals were and was proactive in taking the necessary steps to get myself there. through the hard times i gained a lot of knowledge and strength that no doubt made a better me. it made me realize i’m much stronger than i think i am and need to get even stronger to withstand. i’m much closer to where i want to be but i’m not where i want to be yet. i’m still working on becoming the best version of myself

finished 2016 on a high note and looking to build a strong 2017 with bigger and more ambitious goals. it’s time to take it up a notch or even two and fulfill whatever my heart desires

  • stay as healthy and as injury-free as possible
  • train smarter and eat properly with sufficient sleep
  • be more disciplined and focused towards my goals
  • continue to work on my confidence level
  • love myself for who i am
  • communicate more with family and friends
  • explore the world and expand my horizon
  • attain supplementary diploma
  • appreciate being a workaholic, but also appreciate the little things
  • save up for the number game
  • revisit photography
  • do more of what sets my heart on fire

i’m pumped to make the next twelve months the best months i’ve ever had. find my strong. it’s now or never

day 1083 – final stint

image

i went in today with the mindset to finish on a strong note. it’s been a fixed routine for months – to come here and lift my heart out. it’s here i see myself make progress, see myself hit my goals and to see myself pushed harder than i would ever have. the bar is set high but everything was meant to be a stepping stone for the next. it won’t be the same without it; i’ll miss it here but i won’t stop working hard and climbing up. i’ll only set higher standards for myself and seek even greater goals. i learned never to say never

dream it

it’s march, so time for a little self reflection and self motivation to get it together and get things done. but truth is, there’s never a bad time plus there’s always room to give myself motivation because i am really bad with sticking with it. first off, a little recap of what went on in the month of february. needless to say i strayed somewhere in between, but i am stoked i reached some big milestones on the last week of the month. moving into another month means going back to the drawing board to set bigger, better and more ambitious goals. in my calendar, this month is marked down as march madness because there’s a lot of craziness on the line that i cannot afford to lose. i say this with utmost seriousness that this month will really make me or break me. i do plan on achieving lots and making many breakthroughs this month. with my competitions on the horizon, i have to really gear down because there’s no room to falter. rest assured i will be working my butt off to ensure things happen. the two main ingredients i have on my checklist are staying focused on my goals and keeping my discipline in check. working on myself and taking a page out of walt disney that what i can dream up is what i can achieve. upping my self confidence and mental strength is a key factor to killing this march madness. the countdown is on which makes me ultra nervous and at times afraid, but it’s a challenge i must take on and a challenge i will own

day 942 – pr’ed it

clearing this height was a goal i had set out to do two months ago. after one month of hardwork and relentless plyo, i made it happen. my mind was slow to register what i had just done, but believe me, i was way more stoked than the immediate reaction i exemplified. this wouldn’t have been made possible if it weren’t for the positive encouragment, endless invigoration and belief i have received. more importantly, they did the believing for me because they believed in me more than i believed in myself. definitely a confidence booster knowing i can fulfill a lot more when i set my mind to it. what goals should i set next??

day 929 – resurrect

image

tomorrow i am going to get some me time to reboot both my mind and my system. i feel i need some time to regroup and make sure i’m back on track doing things i need to be doing and doing things i enjoy doing, for the right reasons. the past week or two has been lousy where i am just going through everything mindlessly like a robot but not thinking twice about what i am seeking out of it. and during this time, there’s either been a lot of emotional eating or unhealthy thoughts and choices made. i really should put things back into it’s proper routine and get back in the right frame of mind to make the best choices for myself moving forward. february is a short month, so better not waste time and get back on track as soon as i possibly can
