day 2005 – sushi nanaimo

it was unplanned to skip lunch and go straight for dinner. food is usually really low on my saturday priority list because teaching takes me most of my energy. it was especially draining since some students taking promotion test tomorrow wasn’t performing up to my standards. fueled up with my parents at sushi nanaimo before playing my fishsticks hockey game

day 1431 – award

brought home another from the annual award presentation. what i get in return for dedicating lots of my energy and sacrificing so much into making sure i maintain a standard for killarney. this branch has steadily grown and i’ve been proudly holding the fort down since 2013. it’s often to hear that i’m one of the strictest, and i would agree. i uphold a standard of my own regardless of what other’s may be, not a daycare or a belt selling school

day 1083 – final stint

i went in today with the mindset to finish on a strong note. it’s been a fixed routine for months – to come here and lift my heart out. it’s here i see myself make progress, see myself hit my goals and to see myself pushed harder than i would ever have. the bar is set high but everything was meant to be a stepping stone for the next. it won’t be the same without it; i’ll miss it here but i won’t stop working hard and climbing up. i’ll only set higher standards for myself and seek even greater goals. i learned never to say never
