north shore winter club has one of the worst ice surface i’ve ever seen. it clearly never took hockey players into consideration when players have to lug giant hockey bags through sets of doors, up and down flights of stairs and across other change rooms. stomping down the stairs in full gear to get to the rink, only to see ice is actually a large pool of water. i left it all out there playing one of my stronger games to end the jdp regular season. i had a close call early on that looked like it crossed the goal line. had another opportunity on a two on one where i dove to get good wood on it. despite not scoring, i did many good things including passing, puck battles, forechecks, and just being in position
bringing mo to quarry rock for the first hike of this season. it started off being chilly, but the stairs warmed us up soon enough. neither of us are cardio people; we were tired from the beginning but we couldn’t stop because that would make us look bad. we sped through the trail and finished the round trip in slightly over an hour. looking forward to going on more hikes this summer. oh, did i mention happy two months?
my random findings of the day was an ugly ginormous spider. i am not sure if it was died or alive when the picture was captured but that was soon certified after my brother smothered and suffocated it in a plastic bag. i didn’t really care about the process, i just want to get it out of my sight as soon as possible. an unwanted invader in my basement shall not walk out of my house alive
another day working on my portfolio, a completely different kind of grind. i am on a mission to look for all types of vertical circulation. going places and taking pictures of all that might be useful for my project. it felt really uneasy when people gave me glares and must have thought i must be a weirdo stalker or have an obsession with escalators. i gotta do what needs to be done
