day 1990 – kettle bell model

bought a kettle bell off my colleague because he’s currently purging. having one accessible wouldn’t be a bad idea since i am suppose do shoulder rehab. with it at home, i would have no excuse not to. the amount of exercise equipment around me makes my current work space also looks like my play space. at some point, i’ll probably need to do a purge myself so i can keep my space free of clutter

day 1835 – bad shoulder

checking into physio because my shoulder is massively preventing me to live my life and carry out my daily needs. i’ve put a halt on all my sports, workouts and physical activities for two whole weeks, yet there seems to be no improvement. did some rotational and shoulder stability stuff with kinesiologist before physio worked on my shoulder, elbow, wrist, neck, and knee. i’m hoping whatever my physio adjusted today is what i need to get me well on my way back into sports

day 1665 – propensity 


staying true to my words, i made an appointment to have my physio tend to all my aggravated body parts. i’ve had continuous overload of activities as of late which has been taxing in on my body. my trusted physio basically went full body adjusting my thumb, wrist, neck, back, tailbone and ankle. before getting fixed, i was with my kinesiologist who once again challenged me with another of his newly invented exercise and then revisited one i found difficult last time around. i felt like i was circus in training, working on stability with two balls and discs. surprisingly what was hard the first time is no longer hard anymore

day 1398 – getting sweaty 

normally i don’t sweat much, but the way my shirt was drenched sure made it look like i played hard tonight. my ribs are becoming more stable, but still have to play conservatively until chiro gives me the okay to play without limitations. my team played better than what the stat sheet showed; i had a decent night with nine kills and five catches despite trying to play cautiously. hard to believe a thunderstorm is expected to spur tomorrow when the weather was so nice out all of last week

day 1069 – physio bound

after some debating, i finally caved and admitted that my back needed medical attention; i was overdue for my physio checkup anyways. that also means it’s a lonely unconventional monday of no training, no dodgeball and no other physical activities for me today other than physio. at least he put my pieces back into its proper place and all should be back up and running in no time

day 738 – get it done

forgoing taekwondo tonight because i have got lots of question marks surrounding my ankle status. however, i am feeling optimistic that i can go back to class next week and other activities likewise. in the meantime, grabbed my music, headphones, shoes and off i go do to what needs to be done. it’s looking awfully empty in the gym tonight maybe because it’s friday night and the sun’s out, but that works in my favour

day 208 – tape job

that’s more than half a roll of tape used in one go. this is the amount of tape required to tape my ankle and knee to provide stabilization and continue to train for this weekend. no time to sit, rest, wait or waste time because the competition is only days away and i still feel super unprepared
