day 880 – underconstruction crew

image

a lunch date and christmas exchange with the underconstruction crew. i haven’t received my present from my secret santa yet, but i’ll take into consideration it must travel across seven seas. it’s amazing the friendship of this crew reached twelve years and counting. this girl and i shared incredibly crazy memories in our years at hamber. we had classes together, shared lockers, spent mornings, lunchtimes, afterschools, practices, post practices and weekends together. upon doing the math, it equates to over ninety hours on a weekly basis. we’d devote lots of those hours harassing and beating each other up to our heart’s content. even though we don’t see each other as often nowadays, she remains one of my dearest friend

day 853 – dodge life

image

today was a highly anticipated night of dodgeball – the all friend’s rivalry. it’s not everyday all three opponents are my friends, teammates, enemies and biggest rivals. there was no letdown and no shortage of fun tonight, it must be the best week of this season by far. playing thirty games a night is now a norm for me because not only do i play for my team, but i sub for other teams and even play against my own team. all this dodgeball craziness happened after a training session, which i recently found i play better when i am already all tired out. it was one of those nights that had fun written all over it and if it weren’t for the photos, i wouldn’t even realize how much fun i actually had

resolution series: [thirty] save up

often when the the topic of saving comes up, everyone immediately thinks of the bling. but sometimes you have to look at a broader picture of wealth. by definition, wealth means assets; it does not only come in money value, but also comes in knowledge and experience that you possess and the quality of people that surround you. i consider my family an asset, for they are who have raised me, who taught me everything i know and gave me everything i have. i share all my past with them and they do the same with me. the amount of support i receive from them over the years is immeasurable and cannot be calculated in any currency. friends is another asset, because they are who you grow up with, learn from and play alongside. together, we shared countless memories that no one can take away from us. and then of course there’s the financial side of wealth, which unfortunately no one can live without. to save up is to make sure you retain those valuable connections with family, friends, teammates and soul mates. for those you want to continue growing old with, treat them well and take care of the relationships you don’t want to go without. being successful starts now, in planning ahead and building up for the future in all aspects including people. every small increment will grow and over time and will add up over time

…and that concludes my resolution series. hope you found it enjoyable to read as much as i enjoyed writing it
