day 2007 – sunrise drive

crossing oak bridge on my morning drive to work with this beautiful back drop. never easy waking up early on a monday, especially when i didn’t have much of a weekend. i had a hard time this morning even after three snoozes. i was pretty brain dead at work but good thing i was doing sketchup things or else i would most definitely have fallen asleep

day 1817 – furniture shopping

i lost track of how many times i pressed the snooze button, but i slept in until my poor body was ready to make any type of movement. my lazy day off was mostly spent with my parents shopping for both furniture and groceries. we came to a decision and laid down three and a half grand for a set of leather sofa. i really could have played another hockey game, but realistically i need to be a sloth so my legs could rest. it’s nice to be able to help my parents out; something i miss doing for my parents

day 1274 – oversleeping

a big rush this morning because i snoozed my alarm and next thing i knew it was half an hour later. i zoomed into the washroom, got myself showered and out the door as fast as i could and arrived only thirteen minutes late. i had a headache the whole morning due to the abrupt awakening, but it got better in the afternoon. hump day is a good day to revisit my quote of the week as a reminder

day 934 – raiding ben

it’s so hard to get out of bed early on saturday mornings, especially when friday was a late night. it was a fun late night with a mixture of training, learning and chilling. spent saturday morning running errands and raiding the shelves of walmart because i need to ship bengay to hong kong. these tubes are on always high demands especially come peak of training season. with the amount i use, i admit it’s border line substance abuse

day 820 – working overtime

deadline calls for crazy schedules with early morning, late nights, no lunch, no breaks and little sleep. the times when i am not only operating with next to no sleep, but also inadvertently bypassing meal times. three days of neverending work and uncomprising schedule can really get you. working overtime and going as fast as i possibly can in order to make a push for tight deadlines. i made my deadline tonight, good night world, i need to catch a little snooze before its morning again

day 540 – mri

i find that hospitals are always so poorly labelled i am never able to find what i am intending to do. either that or st paul’s hospital is designed to be an intended maze. i probably spent a good twenty minutes and walked through the entire first and second floor before finding the radiology centre. i had to stay still¬†for the duration of the scan with my arm and wrist fixed in strap and stuck in a vacuum-like tube that constantly emitted loud beeping sounds, but somehow i was able to fall asleep throughout all that. i must be tired

day 444 – podium finish

claiming two golds and one silver from washington state cup. riding on the highs of adrenaline is the only reason i am still standing. being majorly sleep deprived after little sleep the week leading up to trip and only catching a three hour snooze the night prior to competition. proud to say it was a success and the team bc was well represented. first time going to this competition and we gained respect and turned some heads from other competitors, coaches and masters. this may be a start of something that leads to bigger things. the bonus is its my first competition after the summer of knee horrors, and everything seems to be feeling fine so i hope to put that in behind me and look forward to the good days
