day 1653 – juicing 

blending my banana kiwi almond milk smoothie at my desk. just the sound of it already makes me feel like i’m having something ultra healthy, which i won’t deny. the main reason i’m having this instead of my normal grapes is so i can have some solids and some liquids in my body. funny when people were looking around searching for the sounds that my blender was making

day 1038 – walk in not

i went to a walk in clinic with one thing on my mind – to get doctor’s clearance to play dodgeball again. i needed this more than ever because i am not about to miss pinepaple playoffs. turns out just my luck that the clinic closes early on fridays. instead of getting my note, i went out to have a chocolate toast for afternoon tea which i would consider carb loading before race day

day 908 – post week one

week one of rdl season four in the books and it was a successful one. the gang having post dodgeball late night snack – their late night snack. playing together as a team for the first time, we had a very good night racking up nine wins against some tough opponents. i think this team has great potential and will only improve as the season goes on. for someone who went through a tough high rep training prior to dodgeball and exhausted to the point where putting gear on was quite difficult, i played ridiculously well. but why am i surprised as history shows i play better tired

just an ordinary night with some ordinary people captured through a 35mm lens. fun times to be had over some food, beer and shots and definitely a night that i am thankful for. richmond dodgeball league has so many awesome people with great characters and personalities, sometimes it’s impossible to see that side during regular dodgeball nights. this is the perfect opportunity to mingle and socialize with those who i would be too shy to approach on a regular basis or those i had unintentionally neglected. a crazy night full of surprises and good laughs, even though i got home much later than originally intended because i was temporarily trapped in richmond to sober up. unfortunately or fortunately i missed out on late night snacking at no. 9, but rest assured i got home safe and sound

day 805 – banana split

today i found out what is a true banana split, and i don’t mean one that has ice cream in a boat. back after a long weekend, feeling sad the long weekend came to an end and it will be another month of working hard to earn the next statutory holiday. even though i didn’t have much time to just sit and do nothing, i still feel somewhat rejuvenated and ready to continue the climb, work hard, and train hard. one thing to be grateful about is the october sunshine vancouver is still receiving

day 773 – free bella gelateria

it’s friday, it’s sunny and i get free gelato. i guess even if life is feeling a little grim at the moment that a triple scoop strawberry, chocolate and matcha green tea cookie dough made it a smidgen better. but really got to stop eating all these sweets and get back into the routine. this is not the time to gain weight while trying to get back into the thick of things sooner or later

day 771 – tennis fever

the plan for tonight was only to hit for roughly an hour and a half, but ended up going all out for three. so instead of a late dinner like i had initially told my mom, it ended up late night snacking at 10:30pm. started off mellow and hitting lightly, then round two heated up and everyone began ripping the ball like they wanted to take each other’s heads off. felt so good to let my swing loose, but my good knee didn’t feel so good halfway through, hope it will feel better tomorrow after a night of icing with frozen peas
