it was a very good day. i had good snatches and strong paused squats before catching spiderman far from home with friends. i redeemed myself from last week’s poor showing by working up to two kilograms shy of my personal snatch record. also feels good to add five pounds to my paused squats. i walked into the cinema feeling great and perhaps watched my favourite spiderman movie of all time. i thought his newest suit is the best looking ever and wished that i could have waited before buying mine. this one is probably one that i would rewatch once it’s made available for streaming
winning a hockey bet this season scored me a free steak dinner. this is the second season we had this bet for a fishsticks point race and are having this bet and i narrowly edged out the win. enjoying an earl’s sirloin steak before catching captain marvel. i really liked the main character and enjoyed the plot twist in the movie despite it receiving many negative reviews
a spontaneous night it was, but sometimes casual outings are what keeps things rolling. sitting back, taking advantage of the leg room and kicking our feet up quite literally. of course, part of the experience is enjoying the company of a late night movie. a zombie related movie wasn’t exactly the kind of movie one would expect to watch on valentine’s day, but a zombie love story turns out to be quite fitting for this day. i liked it and i’m glad it happened
occupying myself with timeplay and patiently waiting for deadpool to begin. i am usually not a big enough movie fan to watch blockbuster movies on premier day, but couldn’t turn down the avx tickets offer. don’t want to spoil it for everyone else. all i’m going to say is it’s a good movie and i loved ryan reynold’s tricking moves and secretly wished i could learn some of them, but i was not expecting it to be so gory
finally my turn to watch the charlie brown movie. i personally thought it was decently funny and entertaining even though it probably wasn’t a movie that required a cineplex showing but i just went for the heck of it. it felt weird being in such an empty theatre, i guess partially because it’s an older movie and also factor in not being cheap ticket tuesdays. enjoyed my thursday evening sitting back catching a movie and getting my flipping session in. i am pleased with the progress i made today and hope that it will be video worthy next time
it was another stressful eleven and a half hour day today, i rushed straight to my destination and still almost didn’t make it to my 10pm spectre showing because there were pushing deadlines. booked it to the theatres and thankfully just in time to see the previews. i would have been extremely disappointed if i missed it and i would hate to ruin the plans of others as well. cineplex tuesday night is outrageously packed, almost resembles hong kong night market shoulder to shoulder traffic
i was far too busy earlier this month, waited long enough to find some down time to watch avengers age of ultron in theatres. in my opinion the start was a bit slow and uneventful, but got better once the action hit. despite many people telling me it was only satisfactory and that the first one was better, i still thought it was good. i guess i am a pretty avid marvel fan that just doesn’t mind seeing marvel movies, keep them coming!!
