day 2302 – pajama shift

the luxury of working from home is i can wake up five minutes before and work in my pajamas. it’s a bit challenging working with one laptop-sized scree as opposed to two large monitors, but i’ve kept up. it’s been kind of good working remotely because i find my productivity level actually goes up. i also didn’t feel detached because i could use microsoft team to chat with friends within the office. the only drawback is having technical difficulties trying to connect my laptop to a conference call

day 2269 – broken teacher

trying to teach all the classes being on less than one foot combined. my left didn’t work well before and now my right is heavily crippled. capping off the last class of the shift with the poomsae competition team. surprisingly made it through the whole shift without having to demonstrate any kick at full speed or full power. it helps that all classes went smoothly and all except the first class came ready to learn

day 1774 – cycle game

civil war with friends and foes was fun as usual. the quality of my girl’s line has improved significantly from the start of the summer rivlary. we’re linking passes and slowly incorporating a cycle game. my legs were feeling really heavy even before the play started; my first shift of the night felt like a late game shift. i guess all that leg usage is starting to catch up to me. i’m kind of glad that pahl summer season ended yesterday so i can have a little time to rest those weary legs

day 1620 – game ready

first game back in league action after a three month haul of rehabbing and a lot of waiting. it was a painful process that i never want to go through again but i’m glad it’s behind me now. i’ve long for this day to come and i’ll admit i had butterflies leading up to arriving at the rink. stepping on the ice for my first shift was a little strange and that comes with no surprise. the calibration process didn’t take long; i felt much better and adjusted even on my second shift. perhaps getting the adrenaline going and focusing on the game itself got my legs back under me. it feels so awesome to be officially back in game action and no signs of ill-effects coming from my hand. the happiness that’s running through my body well after the game will probably keep me up, but i have a good reason to smile and points to show for
