day 1784 – trenta

my first ever starbucks trenta sized drink seems to be justified by the hot and stale vancouver weather. must replenish all the water lost and used during the after-work bootcamp. holding that ginormous matcha lemonade in one hand while melting underneath my sweaty workout clothes. even though there’s a heat wave and my car thermometer reads thirty plus, i still roll down my windows instead of wasting gas on air conditioning

day 1748 – foul territory

i was five feet away from possibly hitting my first ever home run. i had never struck the ball so hard in my softball days and if it only shifted five or so feet to the right, it would have landed in fair territory well over the left fielder. we played a high tiered team today and got creamed but we’ll be back on the field for more softball come thursday. it was a scorching day with sweat down my back even when standing on the field. on my drive home, my car registered thirty degrees celsius

day 370 – sunburnt

image

third time in my entire life have i gotten sunburnt instead of sun tanned. after a full day out in the sun at tennis, barbecue and sports day, my arms are red, burnt and bruised. this is what i get for being lazy and neglecting to put on sunscreen, although i am sure my sunscreen is long past its expiration date. i was also assuming that me being asian and the asian blood in me would already decrease my chances of sunburns
