day 1569 – quartz top

new quartz counter top and sink unit to show for as my parents continues to make changes and upgrades to the house. i wonder how much money my parents dished out to revamp the house this summer. the new layout is looking pretty rad but they don’t seem like they’re going to stop there since they mentioned about ordering new cabinet door fronts and new dining table top. there’s also talks about re-doing some of the living quarters on the top floor

day 1562 – corridor floor

third day of the contractor laying down hardwood floor. it’s coming along nicely; he’s working slowly but diligently as those curved steps on the stairs is complicated. i hope he can get more done over the weekend so i don’t have to deal with the sawdust. it’s looking quite nice but i still don’t like how the random creaking noises comes with. no matter what, i think i’ll always prefer carpet in my bedroom

day 1559 Рflooring 

together with my parents, we moved all the living room furniture over the long weekend to prepare for more home renovation. came home from work and the construction guy ripped out the public area carpet on the main floor and started laying out hardwood floor at the stairway. it will very be dusty and loud over the next couple days. i’ll miss the warm fuzzy feeling of the carpet, but i’ll have to adapt to the grainy feeling

day 1528 Р renovation complete 

it’s been a physically taxing day even compared to my typical saturday. put my muscles to good use early morning to move the fridge and the wall cabinets. a hectic five hour taekwondo shift of nonstop teaching without a water or washroom break. i felt depleted for the first hockey game and couldn’t get my mind nor my legs in the game. just as i thought i had no more gas in the tank for round two, i pulled through and managed to play some proper hockey. when i got off the ice, i then realized so many body parts are hurting
