day 2160 – hawaii tradeshow

back to work the day after a long weekend didn’t have me jumping out of bed for joy. i almost overslept because i had forgotten to turn on the recurring the alarm clock. good thing my fitbit alarm woke me up quarter past six. the day could have been even worse; at least i’m doing something fun like rendering for the hawaii tradeshow. no olympic lifting today like my regular tuesday because i had gone yesterday

day 2148 – first renderings

a look back at my first marketing rendering i did for the kits collection brochure. a lot of new learnings happened during my first crack at sketchup and vray plugins. i like that i’ll have a lot more freedom to explore sketchup and vray as a whole while creating branding for my own work. i see this also as an opportunity to improve the many skills i’ve longed for

2045 – work deadline

kits collection rendering are due tomorrow – all schemes, streamlines, formulas, and flat lays. it’s been stressful the past weeks leading up to the deadline and especially stressful the last couple days. i’ve been modeling and doing test renders like crazy on three monitors and three computers but at times that didn’t even seem enough. even though i’ve been working so hard on this, there’s still people that will try to prove their noble self by pushing you down and those that completely undervalue what you just did

day 2044 – ceramics retrieval

i was excited to collect my ceramics from last week’s culture event but disappointed the paint didn’t turn out the way i wanted it to. i had no idea the black paint would overpower the purple and pink stars. the purple spider web bowl, however, turned out quite cool. also super disappointed there’s no flipping for me today since both my ankles are busted and need to be rested. instead, i spent my time at the office working overtime to rush for the kits renders. i’m pushing hard to play hockey on friday even though my chiro is shaking his head

day 2010 – test render

modeling and rendering my own bedroom as my first official test render. been talking to my manager about doing renderings for ages, but could never peel me off the work load. with the latest transition, his promise still stands. my manager and i agreed that this will be the perfect time to finally do what i’ve been wanting – model and render. the test render came out with a result so satisfyingly real. this will be the first of many and each one will only get better

day 1407 – tirelessly going

been hemmed in developing this new collection. after fiddling with lighting settings and going through many partial renders and trial runs, this is the first fully rendered room i can settle with. keeping busy and overloading myself with eleven hours so there’s no idle time and nothing else but work. if i could squeeze work in every sector of my day to occupy my mind, i need not to worry i’ll be thinking, feeling or crying. the best solution i can come up with until i can no longer take it

day 1295 – another moveĀ 

the department has had a lot of changes since the new manager stepped in. my role has been flipped upside down and i’m not on a team anymore. i’m on my own transitioning into developing a new collection of drawings and renderings. this will be a good change and a good challenge for myself. and although my desk has been relocated, the same desk setup still applies
