day 633 – acupuncture

image

this is perfect execution of the phrase using my time wisely and couldn’t have used my time anymore efficiently. i was able to fit in an appointment for some needle poking and massage between morning poomsae training and afternoon teaching. believe me training more days and longer hours takes its toll on my body. this is just one of the many things i need to do to keep my knee and other body parts as happy as it will allow

day 412 – stress relief

image

i really missed this place. felt really good being back to gym after such a long layoff. it’s a calming place for me where i can find tranquility and gives me all the sources of outlet to my numerous stresses in life. makes me appreciate this seemingly simple freedom to be do my activities but in reality extremely difficult to get permission and functionality to do them

day 361 – just rolling

image

my right knee has been clicking and uncomfortably pulling which means it’s time to roll out and release all the built up knots and kinks out of my legs. as painful as it will be, it’s necessary to getting all that tightness out and range of motion back. i expected to be badly bruised up after all that rolling but that’s nothing new, not like my leg isn’t already bruised up

day 338 – releasing knots

image

tightness all around my legs to compensate for all the parts that aren’t doing its job. paying the price all at once with some painful rolling and massage for not having been keeping up with releasing all the muscles and stretching throughout this prolonged recovery process. everything is expectedly tight, must stop being lazy and start stretching again. being held down or pinned to avoid uncalled for kicking, not what i would call the normal massage

day 216 – rolling it out

image

feeling the muscle tightness and knots on my legs of what is the after effect of yesterday’s skiing adventures. on the floor rolling it out like there’s no tomorrow, first with the foam roller then with the tennis ball. going up the mountain a few more times would solve the problem of muscle tightness
