day 2281 – general practitioner

my family doctor never seems to fail at disappointing me. i went into her office for one reason – to get either an xray or mri referral. i didn’t get either of the said referrals. instead, i got a prescribed topical cream. this blows my mind that one needs to go through medical school to be able to tell me topical cream will be the best relief she can provide. remind me to never go to her unless i want to get disappointed

day 2140 – scan report

my family doctor didn’t call me about the report, so i called her. it’s a good thing i did because my ultrasound report was overlooked. there happens to be some fluids found in my tendons which could very well mean the initial diagnosis is still valid. she was unable to explain much to me and didn’t know what to do, but referred me to a sports medicine doctor and suggested sports physiotherapy. today reminded me why i hate her nurses, they made a mistake in putting patients into the rooms and proceeded to blame me for going into the wrong room that they had led me into. i let them have an earful because i wasn’t about to take that blame

day 2119 – ankles ultrasound

it’s no surprise this step had to come after hurting it late february and it still severely limits me to this day. i went into downtown radiology to get some ultrasound done, but instead of doing just one ankle, i tampered with the referral notice and added my right ankle scan as well. i’m not really sure what is the answer i would like to hear, but an answer would be great so at least i could get started on solving the problem

day 2091 – ultrasound visit

my ultrasound appointment took way too long for what it was worth. the lady helping me didn’t give any instructions throughout, then took a long time checking the report before re-entering the room and didn’t bother giving me any explanation or answers as she sends me off. i was so unimpressed i just went straight home instead of joining fellow g-string at eastside craft house. i expected a little more than what i got, but maybe i expected too much out of these high paid technicians

day 2086 – ganglion

a growing lump in my right elbow forced me to make a trip into my family doctor’s office. the bump expanded so much, into something i believe to be a tumor. it bothers me so much, i would be in much pain every time i rest my elbow on something. i consistently press on it thinking it would flatten out, but so far that doesn’t seem like it’s working. my doctor referred me for an ultrasound and also got me an xray referral for my ankle. we’ll figure out what it is first, but she doesn’t suggest i trade in the cyst for a scar

day 1885 – ultrasound

a very delayed ultrasound for the shoulder that’s not healing nicely. something must be wrong with it if in two months i’ve made no progress. as told by my chiropractor and kinesiologist, the chance of my tendon being torn is very high. based on my knowledge plus reading up on symptoms, my initial instinct from day one was correct when i said something was damaged. now the investigation is on to find out what’s the severity and what’s the recover

day 1825 – family doctor

img_20200130_2121075079257415063679041.jpgthis is a rather big deal when i make it an exception and visit my family doctor. after many months of ghosting her, even she was surprised to see me. she asked a bunch of questions, did some tests and wrote two referral notes and off i went. i took a day off work to run around from clinic to clinic; these tests and xrays are so time consuming. hopefully the results turn out negative. it’s a day off away from the office but not really – an influx of emails and a presentation to prepare for kept me busy
