day 2311 – relax and recover

somedays you just got to take care of yourself even if the sky has fallen. i really felt the need to just get away from the negative thoughts and try to do what will make my body better. i need to heal the rest of my ailing body. nothing right now can really change the way my ankle is, but i’ve been reading up on it and getting new learnings. talking to people with different knowledge and experience has also given me more insight and reassurance to some degree

day 2236 – interiors

tired monday still trying to recover from the sleepless night at harrison. i got to work a little tardy but i didn’t really care. brother and sister in law has been sending pictures back to keep us posted on their vacation. this particular headboard interested me because it’s quite different than what i usually see. i believe him and his wife are currently in barcelona. they seem like they’re having lots of fun overseas

day 2191 – free friday

the day after making personal records deserves a bit of a rest. i still went to flightclub because i wanted to flip, but taking it easy on the training as my body works to recover. i let my body decide what it can do and didn’t push to do too much on the floor. i still did some x-out practice and ninja landing onto the blue mat. the rest of the evening was a chill one. even though i don’t have much planned, i was just glad to get the bc day long weekend started

day 2051 – setup

i think i need to take it easy for a while to heal up all my injured body parts. i need find things to work on that doesn’t require punching on take offs or hard landings. at this rate it will be so difficult for my ankles and wrist to recover. i’m glad that both my winter hockey seasons are over with and have a couple weeks before my spring season sports start up. for the time being, it’s just dodgeball. this is also the time to really gear down and eat properly, something that’s been going really bad

day 1692 – indian wells

the amount of output yesterday got me and my body good so i decided it was a sunday worth letting my body recover a little. so many body parts are currently quite shattered so taking time off for one or maybe two days isn’t too much to ask for. even if i forced it, i would only be half assing my designated heavy leg day. instead, i spent like how most people treat sundays, relaxing and watching indian wells finals. i’m very disappointed federer lost the match, but he just wasn’t on his game from the beginning

day 584 – pig out

my competition performance was alright despite the overall standings showing otherwise. i needed to put on bengay three times to pull off a gutsy performance which numbed the pain and got me through my poomsae. but as i sit here at dinner time, i fretful admit i used up all my quota and can no longer stand or sit without pain. now just looking to recover and get better before the next competition. after spending the entire day at competition, it was time to digress and feast. stayed out late chatting it up and didn’t climb into bed until 5am no thanks to daylight savings
