day 2078 – kwantlen grad

ever since my schooling days are over, taking transit has become a weird phenomenon. i did it today because i took a field trip to ubc robson square for a kwantlen graduate screening. it was probably unnecessary, but we stopped at michaels and timmys to buy a donut as a gift. glad to make it out to see the youngin finally make it through her degree and regain some freedom

day 1971 – fried chicken

it’s crazy to say that it’s my first time eating fried chicken since highschool. i normally refrain from fried foods; i made an exception today not only because it is the holiday week, but also because i’ve never tasted the korean fried chicken everyone boasts about. it tasted delicious as expected, and the crunchiness between my teeth was also to a high level of satisfaction. i don’t know when i’ll have it again, so i’ll savour every lasting flavour of the fried chicken dipped into the zesty sweet and sour sauce

day 1964 – after party shenanigans

the design team carried the christmas party tradition of hosting the after party. just like every year, this is where the real party begins and wild things happen. one of the few occasions i would let loose and be downing vodka, makgeolli and soju. i had a few rounds and was somehow involved in wrestling activities. the drunken people were hilarious and made many lasting scenes. it was a really fun night chilling and drinking with this group. it wasn’t until 3am that i returned back to my own room. so many good memories but whatever happens in harrison stays in harrison

day 579 – on my walk

image

the view of my walk towards the parking lot on my way home while light was still out this very monday evening. since i wasn’t in a rush today, which is rather rare, i slowed down to notice more of the environment in the prominent side of west hastings. never did i bother noticing the different signages above on the lamp posts that helps distinguish different sectors

day 468 – slow day

image

waking up and expecting to see chaos like the aftermath of a battlefield. a slow day with comfort food to recover after an eventful day. did some clean up to make sure my house was presentable before my brother returns home. decided to take a rare nap that was intended to be half an hour but became two and a half hours since i completely didn’t hear my alarm and ended up missing my evening meeting

day 439 – thanksgiving dimsum

image

the only time i get to have dimsum with my family is mostly during statutory holidays, which happens no more than once a month. thanksgiving isn’t about eating turkey, it means i sit down and enjoy a decent meal with important people in my life that support and shape me in addition be appreciative of all that i am given because there’s less fortunate people out there

day 394 – delish dinner

image

tonight’s dinner was absolutely delish, and expensive. in for a treat at miku’s with mom eating fine sushi on a friday evening to kick start a long weekend. yes, how rare is it that i get to eat dinner at normal dinner time on a friday. and yes, how often can i confidently say i have a weekend that i can actually catch up on life and rest like a normal human being
