day 2514 – push knees

even though i was told not to push my knee too hard too quickly, i felt the need to test the limits and keep pushing the boundaries. i kept trying to get into a squat position, but the knee felt super uncomfortable and restrictive and probably had only sixty percentage of my normal range. still, i’m going to keep pushing it every moment i can in hopes to speed up the recovery. it’s only been three days, but i’m already tired of sitting out. with the current state of my knee and finger, i will not land any new move on the floor to lift that bubble tea ban

day 2300 – calling my name

the platform and the barbell was taunting me as i walked across. i couldn’t help myself but to stop and try my hands at some cleans today. i didn’t get very far in weight, but i think it was smart for me to stay within a reasonable range. my foot was a little uncomfortable at times just going through some of the motions, but i managed and didn’t do any further damages. step by step i’m testing the limits of my foot and hoping my full return to sports can happen sooner rather than later. being on the disabled list has sucked and staying patient has never been one of my forte

day 1786 – thoracolumbar

img_20200204_190327344981603760484917.jpgnot how i had planned out my thursday. i had to leave work early, miss bootcamp and skip softball to visit my chiropractor. only then had i found out i injured my thoracolumbar junction. i’m in so much pain i couldn’t rotate, bend or reach. i wanted to continue with my sports, but there was really no range for that. of course, i tried to tape my own back and needed to prove it can be done. i struggled behind the mirror for over an hour before putting it with proper tension. only then i realized the jammed part of the vertebrae had a softball sized bruise
