day 2857 – start again

my legs were pretty done after a good apex morning lift so i spent the next couple hours on the ground foam rolling. i wasn’t entirely sure what i could do at the evening open gym, and i was well aware my jumping and power would be compromised. instead of drilling some power moves, i experimented with raiz, a move i’ve been really wanting to get. with the start of every move, there’ll be a lot of falling and looking really dumb. i’m still optimistic this is a move i can get sooner or later

day 2454 – stubborn knee

it’s hard to stay positive when i was all eager to train raiz into red, but i can’t carry out the drill because my knee simply can’t take the landing on the mat. it started to get inflamed after five attempts and i wasn’t even at a point where i was doing it right yet. i teared up a little getting overly flustered and frustrated. the stubborn me says i’m still going to do this drill no matter what because i’m determined to get this move

day 2387 – raiz-ing

in class working on raiz this week and i feel like it’s a move i can have. after class time, i worked on some cartwheel back and i finally leveled up and started from airtrack into blue. i think i crossed the bridge by being able to do it on my own and get around to my feet. my backside 900 is also coming together and feeling much better than weeks ago. i think i’ll try to throw it into a combo next time. it’d be nice to eventually put all four moves together
