day 2482 – rock message

vancouver city public tennis courts are finally reopened, but i still can’t seem to go out and do what i love doing because the weather hasn’t been cooperating lately. i’ve been urning to get out on the hardcourts and hit some tennis balls. instead, i took a walk the moment it wasn’t wet and rainy. during my stroll in one of vancouver’s biggest nature park, i encountered some random writings but not sure what the message is trying to convey

day 1796 – oh canada

img_20200130_2217128590155432317885505.jpga different canada day unlike any previous years where i had to host a taekwondo competition. this is the most laid back canada day i can remember, spent it helping my parents with some cleaning up and recycling old junk. the nagging headaches is really not going away, and making me feel uninterested even in my most favourite things. the long weekend continues with a nice dinner out at kishimoto before checking out a free concert. even though it was rainy and slightly cold, the swanguard stadium festivities and fireworks turned out well

day 1768 – squint softball

mother nature has its way with softball sundays. it was raining during our season opener weekend and no different today for our early morning double header. layering up with baselayers and sweats to stay warm from the rain. double header was followed by an evening hockey game. as if my body wasn’t aching and stiff enough, add a stiff and swollen ankle to the mix after blocking a shot

day 1400 – double header

was thinking my hip wouldn’t be up to playing if i had to take doses of advil but ended up playing both double header. it’s not the ideal weather for softball, but we expected the rain to fall and dressed appropriately. fielding first game at first base and second game at rover. got multi base hit game in both games but i swung the bat particularly well in the second game. baserunning iq could be better if i only focused more. it’s funny in between innings the ump told me i was fast; he probably wanted to say my speed saved my butt from an ill-advised decision

day 1144 – morning grub

DSC_3492i wouldn’t say i’m nearly rested for a day like this, but the grub might make me think i am. had my usual and ready to take on a full saturday that started with errands and seven hours of back to back taekwondo. nonstop until 8pm where i can remember to breathe and think. i was feeling pretty cranky which also lead to some bad and regretful decisions. my knee hurts, but i’ll be back for more teaching and training tomorrow

day 781 – rained in

having tennis withdrawal already even though it hasn’t been that long since i last played. the cold, rainy and cloudy weather as of late makes me feel even more gloomy inside. i don’t want to make myself believe it will only get worse in the next few months and that outdoor tennis will be put on hold. honestly i love vancouver but i am more suited for longer summer seasons where my tan doesn’t fade as easily

day 753 – rainy forecast

hope the weather forecast is not correct but if it is, the end of august could be bringing us some rain. i know we’ve had a drought this summer and i know we need to have water in order to survive, but i am still not thrilled to see the rain come back. not finished with tennis, hiking, water sports or numerous outdoor activities which all requires the sun to cooperate
