day 2437 – bucket snatch

i was challenged to do the trending bucket snatch or clean and jerk and decided to give it a go because i’m utterly bored and feel the need to entertain myself. i filled the each bucket with about six litres of water. the hardest part was not the weight itself, but dealing with the wobbly pvc pipe. the handle of the bucket also came off as i caught it above my head. i must admit it was a pretty fun challenge. i’m sure my neighbor got a good kick out of watching me from their porch

day 1199 – coaching team

the two grandmasters and the coaching team at yet another grandmaster yoon sport poomsae seminar. it’s great opportunity to pick his brain from his wealth of knowledge; no wonder he’s one of the best coach in california state. a good poomsae refresher for me but a bad headache kept my home in the evening, probably from dehydration or something. i feel fatigued and much discomfort so all i can do is lie down and roll out on my pvc

day 1065 – second closet

my car trunk has assumed the role of my second closet. not only do i spend a lot of time on the road running from one event to the next, but my gear and equipment has clearly outgrown the allowable space i have in my room. currently, five pairs of shoes, a pair of skates, tennis rackets, pvc pipe and hoodies are some of the things that reside in the back of my car. sooner or later i maybe be looking for an extension to a third closet

day 909 – letup

a rare and validated rest day after a crazy action packed monday. my whole body especially my legs are feeling each rep and every move that i did yesterday. i really did go all out and overboard with dodgeball. as crazy as it sounds, i really did attempt to get my exercise in, but my legs just wouldn’t allow. i am urged to take the day off to stretch and roll instead of overtraining and put myself at risk

day 863 – depot run

flashback to getting my pipe roller from home depot. i bet the clerk was very suspicious of what this girl is building with pieces of pvc pipe. i go out of my way to doing what i need for maintenance. going to the gym is one of the absolute worst time to forget my phone and that’s exactly what happened today. i felt so lost and naked because i don’t have my headphones and music to get me through the grueling demands. but what needs to be done must be done

day 548 – pipe rolling

definitely been making really good use of my pipe ever since i upgraded from my foam. it’s been my best friend and worst enemy since day one but i know process of no pain no gain far too well. everything is so tight from the trainings, practices, normal usage and miscellaneous activities that i went overboard with. the only drawback is my back is shot and there’s nothing the pipe can do anything about because its way too stiff

day 521 – another roller

giving up my foam roller because i have no need for it anymore when i have this baby. upgrading from the soft stuff to the hard stuff was a necessary change because it simply wasn’t serving me well anymore. now i can get my stuff done consistently and rely on this to work its magic and stay somewhat unknotted. this pvc pipe should last me a long while before my body gets immune to this and then i’d probably have to look at metal spikes of some sort
