day 2097 – egg whites

felt like giving myself one day break off my normal hardboiled eggs this monday morning. i’ve always wondered how these starbucks egg whites taste like so this was my chance. it’s tastefully cheesy and also way too many calories than i should have. that satisfied my curiosity but i will go back to my two hardboiled eggs next morning. i also had a mango dragonfruit to go along with it

day 1483 – mini blender


this mini blender better be as good as it looks because it was quite expensive after adding up shipping and import charges. that’s the problem when ordering merchandise from asia. because my hand still won’t open or close entirely, it presented challenges at the gym. it was so painful trying to grip barbells and weights that i just wanted to leave the gym. instead of doing my normal stuff, i had to refrain from anything that involved gripping

day 1137 – red meat

i hardly cook anything besides tofu and chicken, but while my parents are on vacation, i decide to experiment in the kitchen with steak and spaghetti. my main focus was not to set the house on fire; not breaking anything was a plus and the dinner for two was a bonus. after a tiresome day of teaching for the start of killarney fall term, i could definitely use some medium rare protein

day 941 – stacks on stacks

a costco run to check out what’s in store and what’s on sale. perks of knowing someone that works here is so they can keep a close eye on sales of certain products. with a new bottle of optimum, i didn’t really need a new stack at the moment but couldn’t resist picking it up at a discounted price. guess that’s not a bad idea to get rid of the gift card in my wallet. also worth noting i risked my life taking this picture as some asian “see lai” was going to run my over with her shopping cart until her son screamed at her

day 906 – poached

golfing down on my poached eggs and tofu as fast as i can before heading out to taekwondo. refuelling myself with a protein riched lunch after yet another gym session complete. i am feeling the effects from yesterday but nothing is going to stop me from doing it all over again. i always get asked why i eat like this, but what does “eat like this” really mean? the better question is why do you not “eat like this”? if you haven’t gone through what i have, don’t judge because no one understands what staying healthy really means to me

day 842 – bulk pack

one huge stack almost complete and another stack on its way. i made it a priority to load up because i need my supplements like i need food. i am a little disappointed i didn’t get the flavour of my choice, but i simply didn’t want to wait another week to have it shipped. that being said, there’s a dozen of flavours to choose from so there’s a handful of secondary choices i wouldn’t mind adopting. this got me covered and should last me a while

day 841 – twinsies

got myself an additional blender bottle because one is simply not enough; a full purple to add to my half purple. i find that the extra compartments to store my stuff is something i have missing out on all along. i never thought it would critical to have the extra compartment and that it only took out unncessary space but it has proven me wrong. putting it to good use right off the bat because i an on roll and on a mission to string together many consecutive days. not letting the soreness get to me, not letting it be an excuse to break my momentum
