day 2158 – teddy bear stand

no work on monday because of a long weekend means i can go to open gym and not have to worry about how late i stay out. training started productive, drilling five back tucks on floor and fifteen front tucks on blue. i also did some aerials, arabians and spotted flash kicks before my knee started hurting slamming onto blue mat on btwists. i then switched to teddy bear head stand and handstand practice. i’m more concerned that my hair and ponytail is messed up after each attempt

day 2128 – grand place

arrived in belgium by late afternoon on a eurostar train and made a very productive first day. started by going far out to atomium where i did my second flip. it was a little better than the first, but still not getting the height and rotation i’d like to see. also visited grand place, manneken pis and bruxelles stock exchange building. we were much more efficient than the original itinerary; i hope it’s not because we’re doing a hasty job of taking photos and not fully absorbing. we even went back to grand place and stayed until 10:30 before deciding this is as much light as we’ll get to see

day 2055 – stackable boxes

finishing my stackable plyometric project on a sunny sunday afternoon. it’s great to have a dad that is capable of doing so much handyman work because he did most of the work while i just assisted in the ways that i can. now all that is left is to sand the edges and perhaps attach a thin taekwondo mat on the top to make it safer for shins. if i wanted to go one step further, i could also paint it

day 1966 – open doors

dropping in to a rare visit to open gym because i want to make a big push to regain some moves before christmas break kicks in. i’ve had a rough patch and felt like i’ve lost a lot of what i worked so hard for. tonight i was given some basic instructions and drills to get me started on the moon kick. after i got tired or moon kicks, i threw some gainers into the foam pit. also touched on some front tucks, roundoffs, handstands and back tucks. it was a productive open gym and i’ll look for ways to go to some more

day 1956 – researches

instead of going out on saturday night like every other week, i stayed home and got a lot done this evening. i felt obligated to carry out the bulk of europe research. i had to look for train schedules, prices, attractions and browse for a airbnb that works for our travels. paris and london are extremely expensive europeans cities; i didn’t expect this trip to be cheap so i better be strategic with what we choose to do. i did manage to find some good places that weren’t going to break our banks

day 1699 – matchsticks 

a totally different kind of sunday where i didn’t wake up early and didn’t break a sweat. a change of setting and spending the better part of my afternoon sipping on cappuccino and working on my homework. yesterday was my hat trick day in sports, today is recovery day. many body parts ached and my legs didn’t want to move; it took a lot to get off my bed this morning. this day is a good opportunity to get some work done and keep moving along with things i ought to do for myself

day 1679 – morning ice

sleep felt more like a nap when i decided to wake up extra early to join my teammates. an abbreviated version of sleep was what it was; upped my already early starts even more so to 5:30am so i can be on the ice. putting in the work for a productive full gear session with valuable take backs. needed a few more dosage of caffeine to get through both the work day and tutor. fatigued by dinner, i had planned for an early night which never happened
