the day of our annual summer barbecue party has come and there’s a lot of preparation as usual. it’s always good to only work half day and party in the other half. this year is hawaiian themed so we had guest come to present an ‘aloha experience’. we had the usual human foosball, photo booth and of course tug of war. new to this year is the limbo contest which i participated but didn’t win. so surprised i won dr dre beats from the raffle draw, which never happens with my luck
the potluck in the office was flooded with extensive filipino exotic dishes and ultra sweet desserts. i was strategic in my choice of food i put on my plate and stayed away from all the dishes deemed unnecessary. i chose not to try a lot of the dishes put forth but still, i felt like i over ate. it was a really fun and long lunch with free entertainment, good laughs and perfect mingling time within coworkers
rdl execs hard at work getting ready for project skittles pubnight. rdl is still young and growing, but this is the biggest pubnight yet. yelling over drunk and sober rowdy people all night long isn’t recommended; i got home and realized my throat is dry and scratchy. regardless, it was a fun night just getting together with the league and getting to know people that i have seen but never really met. even won a bottle of barbecue sauce to take home with me. i’m disappointed that the priorities wasn’t there, but sometimes it’s better to find out than to never realize where you stand
another annual success walk with the dragon appreciation dinner in the books. typical asian dinners with plates coming every so often, where you will always see food left on the table. and food just keeps coming even though everyone at the table is stuffed. not all the dishes were suitable for me, but perks of being a small eater cause i was pretty much full after the few appetizer dishes. got myself a lucky draw tee that doesn’t fit me, but a win is a win.
