ate a late night banana and hope i don’t get leg cramps overnight after a night of flipping and hockey sandwiched with a quick dinner. got a chance to test out my newly acquired supreme shin pads and i like the coverage. overall, my line played a good game despite getting hit in the ribs with a slapshot during warmup. i felt it immediately and hunched over for a good while and the fact adrenaline hasn’t clicked in wasn’t a good feeling. it hit hit directly in unpadded territory between my pants and chest protector. i’ll definitely see the big bruise tomorrow morning
vachl evaluation day for us new league players to be placed on teams. we skated through a number of skating and stick handling drills before a scrimmage. it was all pretty standard; was hoping my pregame workout didn’t tire out my legs as much. slightly shaken after a goalie poke check inadvertently speared me in the ribs but two breakaway goals to be happy about. it’s the first time mo decided show up to any of my hockey action; i thought i did fairly well for the most part. a subtle elated feeling to see that he can be there sometimes, even if he was only there for the hockey
sticking with my simple pregame meal before a playoff game. my first season is officially over after tonight’s loss but i enjoyed my rookie season and is happy with the successes and improvements that came with it. scoring my first career goal was a big one for me and i only got more comfortable as the season went on. i filled the stat sheet burying three goals and adding four stars beside my name on the hard hat. i’d say it was a good rookie season for me and exceeded all my helpful teammates’ expectations. i’m really looking forward to the spring season and drop ins to see where my sophomore season will take me
monday work went by so slow after only catching four hours and thirteen of snooze time. i didn’t even bother it contacts this morning because my eyes were so tired. when work finally came to an end, i happily dragged my butt to the gym for my monday routine working out before sour catch kids games. noticing i’m adapting better to the program with each successive workout
doing an lunch hotpot and gaming get together with a few hamber buddies. i haven’t had the opportunity to chill with friends since i’ve had a hectic schedule. spent several hours catching up and gaming before i had to head out for skating and then a pregame warmup. i brought my favourites to the hotpot: fish tofu along with some fish balls, enoki and shirataki, but who shows up to a hotpot with carrot and celery sticks??
