day 1936 – lamma island

meeting up with another long time friend and teammate for a day trip to lamma island. it’s my first time on this island so we decided to do a hike and eat a lot of fresh seafood. it was a hot day so i couldn’t keep my long sleeve on as much as i wanted to protect myself from mosquitoes. after lamma island, we took the ferry back and hit up tsimshatsui. that wasn’t a very wise choice because it’s one of the most crowded places on a weekend evening. i must mention part of the reason is hit up via tokyo for some matcha ice cream

day 1833 – spot prawns

my parent’s week-long tour of greater vancouver continues with steveston fisherman’s wharf. dinner is served with loads of fresh seafood that my parents brought home from steveston market. my family rarely chooses to eat shellfish for health reasons. for some reason my parents planned out today to be a homecooked seafood fest. i couldn’t turn down the fresh sockeye salmon and delicious spot prawns

day 157 – whitespot

changing it up with a dinner at whitespot. not often i go to whitespot but wasn’t particularly impressed with my visit because the wait was so long, servers were so inefficient and the kitchen was so slow. tried the new cod and prawn risotto with caesar salad and blueberry milkshake. might be an extended period of time before i decide to give it another chance
