day 1561 – domsĀ 

a day after a hit my squat pr at an unexpected time, doms has taken control over and my legs are out of commission. i longed to reach my peak again and kin forced it to happen. he said that’s enough of plateau and wanted to break it for me. i’m glad he cracked me cause i would never have made the bold move myself. hope this is the first and my other personal best will be coming once i am completely out of rehab

day 1334 – powering up

hitting the gym one more time this weekend for good measures. power cleans never felt the same ever since my chest took the bar three months ago and i’ve stayed away from big weights cause i was scared. wanted to work on the mechanics of my cleans to dust off the rust and regain confidence. just slowly working my way back but who knew i’d be pr’ing on my third time since the long layoff. i was more than stoked because it was a huge barrier for me

day 1201 – oval day

we don’t go to the richmond olympic oval often, but when we do, we pack our day at the oval with nonstop events. warmed up with some basketball shoot around, rallied and had a friendly badminton match before hitting the main event – fitness centre. so thrilling to be olympic lifting on platforms for the first time and dropping them like a boss without receiving death glares. first platform experience and i made it worthwhile by setting a clean pr. after all that, ended our night swinging away at the batting cage. we rarely have days like this to ourselves, but i definitely enjoyed the day

day 1194 – power game

felt gross internally after a night out at the pub eating poorly, got to clean it up. but that feeling was slightly negated because i got my power game going strong. in the short time i returned from competition, i’m already back in my lifting game and made a pr today. i can’t explain the happiness i feltĀ because ever since i started, i had set a goal for myself and today i made that goal. you know all is good when i can get back snatching and going for more goals
