day 2517 – wasabi aioli poke

it hasn’t been warm all season. now that the weather is starting to get hotter, it calls for poke cravings to be satisfied. the combination of fresh ingredients mixed together with sashimi is a refreshing and healthy way to replenish after a workout. i miss buying ingredients and making my own poke at home. sometimes i forget how easy it is to put a poke bowl together

day 2471 – alley freebie

another week of training done so i’ve made it to my weekly reward day. i hit up downtown alley for my birthday free drink. instead of my top favourite iron goddess, i went for a more exotic drink, the mango coconut lulu, and it didn’t disappoint. the tropical flavour was super refreshing on a hot day especially after a workout.¬† sometimes i worry i’ve fallen in love with this quarantine routine and pace; i’m not sure if i’m ready to go back to normal when it comes time

day 2347 – exposure bubbles

six days into the new year is earlier than i’d like to break the bubble tea streak. since i was having the first of the year, i might as well go for their top pick – exposure supreme milk tea. it was premium milk tea loaded with pearls and pudding. at least i can justify it by having burned some calories prior to the enjoyment. hopefully i’ll last much longer without breaking the fast food streak

day 906 – poached

golfing down on my poached eggs and tofu as fast as i can before heading out to taekwondo. refuelling myself with a protein riched lunch after yet another gym session complete. i am feeling the effects from yesterday but nothing is going to stop me from doing it all over again. i always get asked why i eat like this, but what does “eat like this” really mean? the better question is why do you not “eat like this”? if you haven’t gone through what i have, don’t judge because no one understands what staying healthy really means to me

day 894 – munching at gym

surely munching away on a chocolate chip cupcake is totally normal at the gym. it wasn’t the typical kind of cupcake off the shelf but a delicious yet nutritious version made with veggies that was devoured in a heartbeat. i am so glad there weren’t seconds available or that might cause some trouble. i’ll just convince myself maybe i worked hard enough and¬†exerted much energy during the workout, and if not, there’s always dodgeball that follows

day 671 – arctic ice

mixing it post workout once again. keeping up with the supplements plus replenishing all that i lost throughout in getting ready for the vigorous training and heavy demands of my schedule that awaits. i am about to become a crazier workaholic than i already am. i did learn today that this powder is best mixed with ice cold water out of the fridge tastes much better

day 530 – gym selfie

its not often i do a selfie but its monday and i am on the grind so thought today was worthy of one. here’s a post workout selfie after a good workout just for good measures. the refreshed feeling after having sweat and exercised, even when your body tells you it’s tired. reminds me of how much i enjoy gyming at night because people actually show up, mind their own business and get stuff done

day 461 – post workout

returned home from good workout session and filling up my day’s macro with a protein shake. so glad i am done with the body fortress chocolate because it tasted horrendous in my opinion and now moving onto a much better tasting optimum nutrition white chocolate flavour. hope this helps a bit, although i am still expecting to be sore mighty tomorrow, but it’s the kind of pain that’s a resultant of hardwork

day 351 – killed it at the gym

had a great workout today and couldn’t be more pleased that my knee felt really good even after all that i had done. it seems to be coming along in recovery as it should be. i then treated myself with a homemade blended blueberry protein shake – the best tasting post workout protein shake ever. mixing of milk and blueberries to add more flavour is definitely the way to go
