day 1990 – kettle bell model

bought a kettle bell off my colleague because he’s currently purging. having one accessible wouldn’t be a bad idea since i am suppose do shoulder rehab. with it at home, i would have no excuse not to. the amount of exercise equipment around me makes my current work space also looks like my play space. at some point, i’ll probably need to do a purge myself so i can keep my space free of clutter

day 1983 – fools on ice

the zamboni usually swoops in immediately and leaves no time for players to get off the ice after the game. being a late game, and the last game of the night, there wasn’t anyone ushering us out. the girls took our sweet time getting off the ice; decided to stay on ice and take an bunch of photos and videos. we had the whole sheet of ice to ourselvees so naturally we wanted to capture all the weird things we wouldn’t normally get to do. we had so much fun fooling around post game that we almost forgot we the boys were waiting for us

day 1712 – most improved

wrapped up vachl season with a loss, a game which we could have taken with the team’s build. regardless of the scoreboard, it was made fun by the good bunch i’m surrounded by. won myself a drawstring bag being handed the most improved player award. it’s been a a weird season for me having spent much time on the disabled list after a broken thumb, but came back strong to finish the season. hung out with some teammates to catch part of daniel and henrik’s final canucks game ever and then back on the ice for civil war opener. my legs are dead tired from too much action

day 1494 – eagles bluffing

speeding through eagle bluffs and shaving an hour off the average hiker time – not bad for the first hike of this summer. the first twenty minutes was the hardest, but having gotten past that is a chance to stand on this rock to look out from a vantage point. it’s good to get out to keep our annual outdoor adventure alive. the hike was good, the view was great, the legs are satisfyingly tired but still feeling unjustified. the damage of what’s said can’t be undone. it’s not the first time upsetting things have been said, but every time the disappointment hurts just as much

day 1221 – ex throbocop

it’s unfortunate i can’t physically be there to play or support my fellow throbocop, but i’m sure thinking about them and wish them the best of luck in playoffs today. thinking back of how we dominated on playoff day to grab that a tier champ in out first season. it’s exciting to see much improvement in everyone’s game. i am still aiming for that bandaid belt that obyf has come ever so close to a couple times

day 799 – obyf groupie

season 19’s best dressed team looking sharp once again geared up in our full home uniform. today’s memo was to neon it up which some of us failed to do, but then again i also neglected to wear my neon yellow shoes. good to see the entire team present for another season of hurling balls at each other. obyf back for another season and keep working on things now and make it all count in the playoffs

hiking adventure – stawamus chief

image

wouldn’t be making good use of my summer time and the abundance of sunshine vancouver has to offer if i wasn’t out doing summery things. wouldn’t want to let another summer go by without having done the stawamus chief, so i was going all out this weekend. no taking it easy even though its my first time, might as well get my money’s worth by doing all three peaks in one go. the beginning leading up to the trail split felt like an endless climb of stairscases and it probably was to a certain degree, by the end i climbed well over two hundred flights of stairs. really enjoyed the chains and ladder part and would have had better use of my spiderman skills if people in front of me were mildly faster. downhill portion was a knee buster for my bad knees, and they didn’t stop short of letting me know. part of the fun is to pose for obligatory selfies at every peak, and doing many stupid things along the way. this was an eye opener to do longer and more intermediate terrains, it was definitely another worthwhile hike. looking forward to doing one more long one before summer begins to wind down
