day 1935 – bubble tea alley

got to appreciate a good lunch date with hamberite that started with fancy poke bowls and finished off with bubble tea. the alley was coined as one of the best black sugar pearl in the city. i wasn’t going to have too many on this trip, but i wasn’t going to let this one slip away. i haven’t had bubble tea in a while but man was this one good. we walked around mongkok and shamshuipo for the rest of the afternoon. i’m always good to know that last connections like this still exist

day 1910 – crepe cake

girls night out at the gym before crashing a home for movie. we caught up a little while watching deadpool 2. we filled ourselves with homemade poke bowl ingredients before the main event which is all about the dessert delicacies. the earl grey and matcha flavoured crepe cakes plus coloured pearl bubble tea. it was good, but i would have to keep these decadence to a minimal for the meantime. it’s also quite a pricey enjoyment

day 1903 – continuation of seminar

enjoying my poke bowl for lunch during my second day of this seminar. it’s customized with salmon and tuna sashimi, mango, crab meat, masago, ginger, nori, shoots and topped with spicy sriracha sauce. since we got the basics down yesterday, we’re learning how to build a project and practicing how to setup according to our own preferences. i’ve been pretty intrigued and impressed with what the program can do

day 1874 – poke master

improvised poke bowl for family dinner limited to the ingredients readily available in the fridge. the main ingredients were salmon sashimi, beets corn, cilantro and some wasabi for the zing. it was really light, refreshing yet flavourful. i think my newfound favourite vegetable to be beets. i’ll try making more funky poke bowls next time and experiment with different ingredients
