day 1698 – rainy run 

my first real long run in three years and quite possibly my first ever run in the rain. nailed the sunrun distance like i set out to do and pleased with the result. my legs were spent from the ten kilometre run, followed by five hour taekwondo shift and then some hockey. i could barely move halfway through the day and expect it to get worse tomorrow. i guess i didn’t exactly think it through before committing to all in one day, but that’s kind of how i roll. in the meantime, there’s lot of rolling to be done

day 1099 – bleak

a morning physio appointment puts restrictions on physical activities for the rest of the day. the check up was good, but i was terrible at what i did; not impressed with how i did the exercises i was assigned. the good news is he said i recovered well and has little issue with me to resuming most of my activities. maybe the weather change overnight is the cause of my headache and dry throat. i will just sleep it off and hope i will be better tomorrow

day 1078 – play ball

keep the activities coming with some court time at gladstone before extra demo rehearsal. i miss the good old days when the gang would go hit for hours every other day. i don’t make it out as much as they do but hoping that changes soon. my legs are gased by the time demo rehearsal came around. my body is definitely physically taxed and i can feel the weariness, but keep them coming

day 1004 – winding down

glad i made it through a crazy long saturday and able to sit and wind down at the end of the day. woke up early and got my day going with a strong morning gym session and ended the day nicely with mellow night out and quality down time. sandwiched in the between was a mediocre afternoon; teaching was draining and training felt pretty unproductive because my hamstrings are feeling miserable

day 957 – training and training

a day of nonstop training is what monday is all about. as competition closes in, must work harder and kick into another gear until training becomes life. meanwhile, my routine gym and dodgeball never stops, totalling four hours of evening physical exertion. thought i would pass out immediately after all activities, but turns out i never slept. instead, i had some quality time that made staying up worthwhile. there’s always a first for everything and sometimes life throws curveballs when you least expect it, but it was a good ending to a crazy night; definitely the best pi day yet

day 956 – skating

my lifestyle is best suited for crazy packed days, that’s just the way i like it. a fun sunday afternoon skate between several hours of teaching and couple hours of poomsae training to make my day complete. no better way to spend my first day back after reactivating my leg, than to go out all with leg intensive activities. i can feel my legs have gotten weaker through the stretch of interrupted physical life. it doesn’t help being sluggish after a pubnight and losing an hour from daylight savings

day 728 – summer’s day

looking like a typical july summer’s day as i sit under the sun gazing out. this is the best time for tourists to come visit the west coast. glad to see the warm and sunny weather returning to vancity but i am not physically able to enjoy the outdoor activities. i am hoping and expecting to return to my regular activities soon and is eagerly awaiting the clearance to resume all that planned
