day 1789 – pay up

settled the winter term paychecks so me and my instructors can get paid for our services delivered more than three months back. getting paid for killarney is always so troublesome since they’re nit-picking on the smallest detail. the amount on my cheques doesn’t even justify how much time i spend doing the payrolls. glad winter term is finally dealt with, but that means it’s just about time to send in the spring invoices so i can start calculating payroll all over again

day 1718 – stipulations

after sitting down and punching the calculator for two hours, we finally settled the killarney payroll. the amount paid doesn’t justify the amount of time and effort i’ve put into crunching numbers. what a relief to finally reclaim our long lost paychecks from the last terms; i can finally say this isn’t volunteer work. friday the thirteenth isn’t so bad when it’s double pay day. also got to enjoy a good ramen lunch with some of my favourite coworkers

day 1477 – new salary

received my first pay stub with my new remuneration; means a lot to me to finally have my hardwork reflected in my salary. though that’s the only bright spot of the day as i woke up feeling really shitty about myself. a stomachache made matters worse and i didn’t feel like eating. i regret having dragged myself into the office but had so much work that missing any time wasn’t feasible. just as i thought my evening was getting better, a phone call from sifu changed everything and i all i could do was lay in bed feeling majorly overwhelmed but no one there to receive

day 556 – rightful owner

after two months delay, the money finally arrived in the hands of the rightful owner. i waited far too long for this paycheck i was afraid my bank account would dry up before i would have any to refill. this is going to save some of my crazy spendings since christmas holidays. paydays are the best, often forget how good it feels to hold the cheque in my hand, or multiple cheques in this case

day 67 – paycheck day

beginning of the month usually means a lot of cash flow going in and out of my bank accounts. only problem is it’s usually more out than in. controlling my expenses and managing my credit card bills can be a huge hassle. nonetheless, the feeling of poor continues with or without paychecks
