twenties series: [six] forgive

there are many challenges in life with all the ups and downs. it’s inevitable that we will cross paths with some people that you just can’t see eye to eye with. as i meet more and more people in all walks of life, i realize the importance to keep those who make a positive impact in my life. those who provide nothing but negativity and those only considered friends with benefits shouldn’t be kept around because they don’t matter. i noticed different stages of life will call for different circles of friends, some come and go but those who really matter will stick with me forever. from time to time, arguments may arise even with the whomever deemed important to you, but the main point is don’t let that get in the way of the relationship. it’s all about learning to forgive because who knows there may be times when you will also be hoping for forgiveness; in the end no one is perfect. just remember not to blow things out of propoertion, keep everything as simple as it can be because often, it is easier to forgive and move on than to hold a grudge long term. it may seem like a tall task in the heat of the moment, but once you look back, it is the logical thing to do. life is too short to always hold grudges and it’s never a good thing to put a valued friendship in jeopardy

twenties series: [three] path

not everyone has the same strengths and weaknesses. everyone is born with certain gifts, talents and aspirations that will lead them down their own path. just following the a crowd and taking what is deemed a safe route isn’t going to get me anywhere in life. life is all about finding myself and understanding who i really am. that’s what makes me, me. just because i am not taking the same path as my buddies, doesn’t mean that they are not readily available to support me every step of the way. there may be lots of darkness, obstacles and uncertainties but at the end of every tunnel is light that leads to bigger and better things. getting past a stumble or struggle makes all achievements me more appreciative of the success. the decision is mine as to whether i want to go down the easy path and end up doing something i have little interest  in or the less traveled path that will allow me do the things in my realm of interest. all i have to do is accept the challenges and persevere then i am confident i will reach my destination. at the end of the day, i want to feel good taking this path and doing what i do. afterall what comes easy won’t last, what lasts won’t come easy. never divert your path in life due to others opinions

day 251 – dig deep

shutting myself off from the world and staying away from places that created all the frustration and uncertainties. taking all the bashing and fustigation and putting into perspective and using that to ignite the fight in me. trying to clear up my mind, refresh my soul and reenergize myself to continue moving forward in the path i have chosen. recognizing the only option i have is to dig deep and persevere, is the words of a good friend of mine
